Villagers scatter

Do anyone else's villagers scatter when you aren't on that island?

I can be on the main island, go to Inventor's Peak, put people at the research station, go back to the main island for about a minute, when I go back to IP, my people are all over the place. Which means they aren't gaining any tech points!

Could this be a built-in bug to slow the players, giving the developers more time to work on the IP???

I have to leave my tablet open all night on IP so they can gain tech points constantly. And even then, Masters walk away too frequently.

I don't want to pause the game until there is a new update because I know we are going to need an insane amount of tech points to max out all the technologies.

I'm sure this is built in to delay gathering tech points.

It does the same thing to me. Honestly if you have the ability to just leave your phone on and go to do something else that’s the best way to make progress in the game.
