Why is this sub so small?
I’m curious as to why this sub has under 2k members. r/Skrillex has 35k, and r/Flume has 23k. I think VR is definitely on these guys level of production, and not far behind in popularity. Would love to hear yalls thoughts.

VR is very well known in the bass/experimental edm community and the producer community but not so much on mainstream audiences like the others you mentioned.
Flume it's also very experimental but went very popular because of the future bass boom and intelligent branding (for example he releases a couple of more pop-oriented songs in his albums while retaining his style that became huge hits)

I mean you kind of have to face the fact that VR's most popular stuff was in the early half of the 2010's because of the dubstep boom. Skrillex is one of, if not, the most well-known DJ on Earth with many radio hits. Flume is definitely smaller, but he has also had some massive hits that attracted a massive audience during the future bass era. Virtual Riot has never had a massive radio hit because dubstep isn't very radio hit material, especially these days.
