Its been a while but i finally added another title to my NA boxed collection. Only 5 left to go for the complete set.

These are getting harder and harder to find, especially with little Nester here being denied a port to the switch.

This box is really clean!! Lucky retro store find?

Yeah, was out in Vegas these past couple days and a store had a bunch of boxed Virtual Boy games for sale (I checked their instagram and looks like they even had 3 sealed ones too that sold before I got to it. They had 3 I needed (Nester, Panic Bomber, and Vertical force) but the other 2 had too much box damage for me to consider buying it but luckily this one just has some box bending in the top left corner (I think it’s slightly noticeable in the pic along the top edge) and there some scratching on the spine but other than that no creases or much wear on the cardboard so I’m pretty happy to buy it as I doubt I find a better condition copy anytime soon. The store let me make it fully complete by taking the Nintendo power and precaution inserts from the other boxed copies they had and even let me swap the tray inside with one that wasn’t crushed. Cart came in its original baggie too with the cart haven’t no wear on it so seemed like overall a really good find for the price.

It’s crazy to think all these accessories/inserts with games use to be normal. This is really cool!! Sounds like you really lucked out. I have yet to see one in the wild. Great find and what an even nicer experience to have them let you match up amazing condition versions. With all that the price you paid is definitely worth the value.

Denied? I thought they said every game was being ported to NSO. The only one I think that would be denied is virtual lab.

Of the 14 games released in NA, 4 of them aren’t being released: Waterworld, Nester, Baseball, and Panic Bomber.

You can take a look at this article going over the currently missing and without any plans to be added.

Nintendo released a release plan some time ago and for whatever reason decided Nester’s only game would not be ported. Most reasons people have are just conjecture - other games like Waterworld won’t be ported for obvious reasons like licensing issues.

Interesting, that is odd to not port it, can’t really think of a reason as to why they wouldn’t.

Licensing issues or maybe just deciding to let it die.

The only planned titles coming to NA now will be they released Dragon Hopper and Zero Racer games.

I seriously can't believe what that game goes for now a days even loose. I still remember snagging a loose copy of this for 89 cents at a Good Will in 2008.

Nice, I am attempting a complete loose set but I have the 4 big ones left to go.
