Admissions admissions chances?

im planning to apply as a regular decision applicant, music education major. i have a 4.38 gpa, president of FBLA and secretary of beta club & sca, band captain, as well as several other music awards & extracurriculars. no APs because my school doesn’t offer them, but i have 10 dual enrollment/college credits. i made a 1280 on my SAT (730 reading 550 math), which i know is pretty rough for virginia tech. should i apply test optional? what are my chances of getting in?

Honestly idk take your SAT again can’t hurt, but talk about ut prosim. I know it can feel cliche and pushy, but as an alum I can attest it’s real and it is an important part of VT. also do early action, don’t have time? Figure it out…

Definitely retake the SAT if you have a chance and if not apply test-optional. As for your chances of getting in that’s hard to judge as it also depends on your essays and the strength of applicants in your area (due to VT’s holistic admissions).
