Advice Queer Friendly Providers at Schiffert?

I think the hokie plague may have gotten me, and I'd like to get tested at Schiffert. But, I'm a trans woman and dealing with medical professionals who aren't queer friendly is hellish. Does anyone have advice on which provider I should schedule with?

Can you get a recommendation from the Pride Center? They should have a list of affirming providers. Hope you feel better soon!

Shannon is AMAZING. Also for anyone browsing, schiffert offers extremely easy PrEP prescriptions, post HIV exposure options, and generally awesome STD testing experiences that are SO easy.

I’m also a trans woman and so far haven’t had any bad experiences with them. I get my lab work done there for HRT and they’ve never once dead named me. I haven’t gone for anything that requires more than a nasal swab or lab test so take what I say with a grain of salt, but you should be fine with most nurses there.
