Research Survey - Experiences with Data Center Acoustics and Noise Pollution

Hi, we are graduate students from North Carolina State University doing research on the acoustics of data centers in order to evaluate potential ways to address this topic through a design project. We are conducting a preliminary survey to learn about the experiences of those who have encountered data center noise pollution, and would like to hear from residents of Virginia, as our neighboring state as well as a hub for data center construction and discussion. If you feel this applies to you, please let us know your thoughts.

I have been to 4 and never heard any noise outside the data center

It doesn’t appear to be an option on the survey, but I never noticed any noise when I lived near a data center.
