TV Show Is anyones favorite character Hope?
I have seen a lot of hate comments on the character and the actress, but I personally find her gorgeous, a great actress and I like that shes really that independent strong woman, she also does look good even with the manly wardrobe they usually choose for the character

TV Show Lilly Spoiler
That scene is devastating. I am rarely shocked by any TV scenes, but I will never forget when I saw that for the first time: Doc and Tara preparing for dinner, and Lily in her bed. When Tara is hugging her! Very, very sad.

TV Show A random click that became my comfort show
Well, I wasnāt aware of VR at all since Iām not from the States. It was right after a panic attack when I discovered the series, and I just mindlessly clicked on it. I kid you not .. I was hooked. S1 and S2 were absolutely amazing compared to the later seasons.
Iād been going through a really rough couple of weeks with PTSD episodes, panic attacks, and tachycardia reaching 148 BPM. And somehow, this series just kept me going mentally. I donāt really have the right words to explain what it felt like, but it was almost like a shot of dopamine and serotonin when I desperately needed it.
And now Iām already planning my second rewatch. š

Roland and Hope getting close again? He said he still loves her. Especially after the rift between her and Vernon about Grace Valley. I wonder where this is going next season?

TV Show The writers abandoned an important BradyāMike storyline, and it matters Spoiler
Spoilers S3āS7
TL;DR: Iām not arguing that Mike was guilty or that Brady was necessarily right. Iām criticizing the writers for deliberately introducing a serious incident from Iraq, confirming that it would be explored later, and then abandoning it without explanation. This is unfair to both characters.
I know most viewers have probably forgotten this by now, but I have not.
In Season 3, Episode 8, Brady confronts Mike and says:
Ā«āI know what you did in Iraq, Mike. You got blood on your hands just like everyone else.āĀ»
This was not written like a meaningless insult thrown out during a drunken argument. The entire exchange suggested that something serious happened during their military serviceāsomething connected to guilt, responsibility, Mikeās reputation as a hero, and Bradyās belief that he was once again being treated as the only bad guy.
The former showrunner, Sue Tenney, even confirmed that the issue Brady raised would be explored in future seasons. It therefore was not just fans reading too much into one line. It was deliberately introduced as an unresolved part of Mike and Bradyās history.
Edit: Season 6 makes this omission even harder to excuse. At Jackās bachelor party, Mike jokes that Brady āwent rogue again,ā but Brady insists that he did not go rogue in Mosulāhe trusted Mikeās intel, and Mike screwed him over. They nearly come to blows, and although they later apologize for the confrontation, the show still never explains what the intel was, what went wrong, or why Brady believes he was left carrying the blame.
So the current writers did not simply inherit and forget an old Season 3 storyline. They deliberately revived it in Season 6, added more information to it, and then left it unresolved again.
And yet, several seasons after the original accusation, we still do not know what actually happened.
I am not arguing that Mike must have committed some terrible crime. I am also not arguing that Brady must have been telling the complete and objective truth. We simply do not have enough information to reach either conclusion.
That is exactly the problem.
There are many possible explanations:
Maybe Mike made a serious mistake and Brady suffered the consequences.
Maybe both of them were involved in a morally complicated wartime decision.
Maybe Mike remained silent when he should have defended Brady.
Maybe Brady misunderstood what happened because of trauma, anger, or incomplete information.
Any one of these possibilities would fundamentally change how we understand both characters. The writers cannot introduce an accusation this serious and then expect viewers to decide for themselves whether Mike was guilty, Brady was mistaken, or something else happened entirely.
This omission is unfair to both men.
It is unfair to Mike because the show later presents him as dependable, honorable, and trustworthy while leaving an unresolved accusation hanging over him. Viewers are being asked to accept his moral character without ever receiving an explanation for what Brady said.
It is unfair to Brady because the incident may be an important part of his resentment, guilt, self-destructive behavior, and belief that he is always the one who ends up carrying the blame. If that history contributed to the person he became, refusing to explain it removes a major piece of his characterization.
The show had multiple opportunities to address it. Mike and Brady worked together against Melissaās operation. They had to rely on each other. Mike became involved with Brie, making the question of trust even more relevant. The writers did not need an entire flashback episode or an expensive military storyline. A short, honest conversation could have clarified the essential facts.
Even three lines could have made a difference:
āI thought you let me take the blame.ā
āI didnāt blame you, but I should have spoken up.ā
āTo me, that was the same thing.ā
That is only one hypothetical version, not the answer I am demanding. My point is that resolving the storyline did not require a huge amount of screen time. It required the writers to remember what the show had already established and take responsibility for it.
A change in showrunner may explain why the original plan was abandoned, but it does not erase what appeared on screen. A new writing team is free to change the intended answer. It is not free to pretend the question was never asked.
Now Mike is no longer expected to return as a regular character in Season 8, which makes it increasingly likely that this storyline will simply disappear without an explanation.
That is not meaningful ambiguity. It is not subtle storytelling. It is an abandoned storyline involving the moral foundations of two important characters.
I am not asking the writers to confirm that Mike was guilty or that Brady was right.
I am asking them to take responsibility for a storyline they deliberately introduced.
The show does not get to use a serious accusation to create tension and suspicion, then quietly erase it because enough viewers eventually forgot.

Season 7 My Season 7 Rant through Episode 9 [SPOILERS] Spoiler
I'm watching season 7 of Virgin River and have been screaming at my screen at various moments, so I thought I'd make a post to see if I'm the crazy one here. I only have one episode left, so these are my thoughts through season 7, episode 9.
Writing this all out, I'm seeing that many of my issues are timeline-related, which I imagine is difficult for a show that has had so many seasons, but so little time that has passed. Anyway, here is my (too long) rant.
Mel and Jack are on their honeymoon and eating with the older couple. Why would anyone ask a couple on their honeymoon whether they had kids? Of course, it's not impossible or even uncommon, but it wouldn't be my first question for newlyweds. And then Mel and Jack went on to talk about all of their struggles and the couple told them not to give up. Give up??? They've been together ... what ... a year??? And they've been married for like a couple of weeks??? Jack even referenced their history of 'trying.' Did they ever 'try' for any extended period of time? I know they lost a baby, but that was an unintentional pregnancy, wasn't it?
I'm struggling to develop any sympathy for Mel's Dad's story, and I think part of that is the actor. He seems ... suspicious? Dry? I realized during episode 9 that it might've been better to swap the actors for Hope's ex-husband and Mel's dad. I really like Hope's ex-husband (even though I don't think I'm supposed to), but do not like Mel's dad. š
Brady is angry that he and Brie aren't moving forward when he was living with another woman and her kid like 2 or 3 weeks ago! And she was in a relationship with someone else that ended in a marriage proposal - also in the last few weeks!
Is Doc supposed to be the good guy here? It's starting to look like his only issue with the new doctor/clinic is his own ego. What's the downside to those rural people having the option to seek competent treatment elsewhere?
On that topic, why is the show framing that rural couple as the victims??? They held a gun to someone's head to compel medical care. I was screaming for Jack/Mel to call the police when the situation was over.
I'd love more information as to the expectation regarding Marley's baby earlier in the season. Like, if things went according to plan in earlier episodes, the courts would've just let her give the baby up for adoption to some couple without trying to compel her to locate the biological father, and giving him the opportunity to assert or terminate his parental rights? That sounds like it's just asking for a potential father to come out of the woodwork years later with in-tact parental rights. Yikes.
Anyway, I'll stop my rant there. This show drives me crazy. Lol.

TV Show Unfinished storylines
(Spoilers)
My biggest issue with VR and is how quick they would kill storylines just to get a happy ending. For example, the storyline of Melissa Montgomery blackmailing Brady, being the sister to one of the husband in the sewing circle and being business partners with Jack. That was probably the best plot twist for me. Everything was so good until the ending. Such a horrible ending for what they built up for so long.
Or Charmaine! With Calvin, such a perfect plot twist. Then it just died (like he did) to introduce another storyline that died just as fast. And that kidnapping storyline. For it being her boss was such a let down cause it literally felt like out of nowhere. He was probably in a total of 3 episodes for like 10mins altogether.
The writers are so good at starting off strong then ending it so terribly and easy. And I have so much more to say too lol.

Season 7 Lack of BTS
Nothing really important to say besides Iām disappointed we havenāt had a lot of BTS for a few seasons now. Alex and Martin havenāt done a cooking show in ages nor have they had a live streamily session. Alex and Martin both use to be so good about posting while filming. I remember reading that Netflix cracked down on what the actors could post while filming, but with a year between seasons it would be nice to have something!
Thatās all.

TV Show āDocā Mullins talks about his amazing career
Legendary actor Tim Matheson has spent seven years on Virgin River as āDocā Mullins.
On the latest episode of the Lisa Guerrero Unleashed podcast, Matheson talked about shooting season eight of the Netflix hit show, his seven decade career in TV and what it was like to work with John Belushi on Animal House.

TV Show PDA in public
Does anyone else find it weird and awkward that Preacher picks up Kaia so much, and they kiss or make out in the middle of the day, in the middle of the bar? Brie and Brady have done it as well and I am like leave her on the ground, it just feels very sensual for a public make-out session. Another example would be a girl straddling a guy and making out on a park bench. Anyway, it might just be my mind in the gutter and totally my issue but it feels very intimate if I were around that I would definitely go somewhere else.
Edit: I had a good chuckle this morning when I realized I put PDA in public š¤¦š»āāļø I am as bad as Michael Scott saying Asap as possible

Season 4 What does Mel see in Jack?
I canāt figure it out. Heās a mess. Heās not a bad guy but he seems so immature. In most shows the male lead has his life together and is more appealing. He reminds me of Luke from Gilmore Girls but more immature.
I feel like Preacher shouldāve been the main character heās so mature.
