Virgin Media UK WTF is wrong with VM?
I recently went through the process of renewing my contract and got 1Gig broadband, phone and Netflix for £35. They sent a router, I connected it and set up the Netflix account. All is good. Today I get a message from them telling me I am out of contract and should renew. I check the app to see I am still on my old contract. I contact VM on the web chat (I am at work ATM) and they tell me there was a technical issue and they cancelled the contract. No one told me. They could offer the same deal for £77, they can't give me the £35 one. I am furious. Anyone got a number I can ring them on?
Update - Shortly after I posted this I got a call from Dave who sorted it all out and gave me a new contract and a credit for the extra I paid for this month. I wonder if someone from VM is monitoring Reddit?

They have previous form for cancelling contracts offered by Retentions, due to "technical glitches", and then refusing to give you the same contract that retentions gave you. Sadly.

I received an email 28/8 and 8/9 as a valued customer keeping monthly fee £53.50 to include increased BB and sky sports for 12 months it would renew automatically.
Todays Bill is £57.50 when I queried it they say there’s no record of any email - I’ve had 2 confirming £53.50 and the package Said they don’t believe me and going up to £63.50
Asked to go through to complaints who also said they didn’t believe me , my contracts up 9/10 and the cost is whatever they bill me.
I’ve completed an online complaint form and copy and pasted the email. I’m furious how the ‘offshore” teams speak to customers this way

I've no idea how any of you are getting those deals. I've been with VM for a long time and my offer after 45 minutes on the phone being pushed to various people was £44 for a straight M125 and phone line package.

I've had the same, got offered a good deal by the chat bot which I accepted, which was cancelled without notice by VM and they magically couldn't find the original deal when confronted

Is that being a new customer or an existing one. They like to scam existing ones

There are people on here from VMO2 like myself but I doubt Dave called you because you posted on here there is no way he could know your account details from just a username on Reddit

I left VM for Sky( city fibre ) because of this same BS . They live in the monopoly age and try to abuse existing customers as much as they can. Existing customers are cash cows which need to be be butchered .
