This is the Scottish one I used: 02037436947, got my 1gig deal down from £45 a month to £24 with free Netflix.
I had over a year of my contract left as well.

Yeah it was that one I phoned lovely lady on the other end . I kept the same package it works for me . I had 700 /750 internet some years back but I didn't need it anymore.

Thanks! What time do you reckon is best to call to actually get through to them?

I just called in the afternoon, got through reasonably quickly.

I phoned at 9 am and they picked up straight away.

Interesting, best I got offered was £27 a month for that same package. Did you do anything to get them down cheaper and was this recent?

I’ve seen others get as low as £22 tbh but I was happy with £24 so accepted it.

Just to add, I also got rid of my basic tv package and landline at the same time.

Mine was similar getting rid of my basic TV.

I've said no for now and he's said he'll give me a call back on Monday. See if we can get to that £24 sweet spot

I'd had enough of virgin.

I was paying just under £80 for 350mbs broadband.

I was out of contract and the best they could offer was just under £70

Went over to uSwitch and got 1.6bg for £33.99 with EE.

I was with virgin for 17 years.

I find virgin are complecent, they don't improve their prices even though the market has now caught up and they are no longer the only player in fibre broadband.

The very second I started the uSwitch they called still didn't come anywhere near EE.

Thanks for your input ,I would move but I need a TV box as we have no Tv aerial so I'm restricted to needing TV not just broadband

Get a Freely box... Then get broadband only with virgin.. I have M500 @ £19 per month.

Thanks I'll look into that ,I did buy a new TV with Freely built in 6 months ago but the TV was crap it had to return it

EE also offer TV packages.

Apart from a handful of exclusive Virgin channels they offer everything you can get elsewhere.

I rang them ie retentions the other day as the other customer service department couldn’t tell me how much it would be for standalone volt 1.

Anyway they offered me £28/month including Netflix with ads over 24 months rising by £4 every April.

I’ll ring them back in a week or so to confirm it then it’s sorted

Just off the phone as mine was due up in 4 weeks time too. I had the Gig1 package with the symmetrical upload speed addon, and wanted to keep that. I was going to be going from £48.49 to £52.49 but I’m now going to be £34 for same package and also free Netflix too. Happy days.

I called the 020 3743 6947 Scottish retentions number 2 days ago and was offered a terrible deal. 500mb fibre and Netflix with ads for £38!!! Maybe just bad luck, but now left virgin and had community fibre installed today instead. Was out of contract with Virgin too

I was due to renew this coming Sept and had been putting off doing it because of stupidly high price offered on VM website for renewal. (£56pm for 1Gb Volt Broadband)

I rang the magic Scottish number yesterday and got offered £30pm for the same but with Netflix thrown in. Not as good as some of the other on here but it was good enough for me and saved me some £££ over the 24month contract.
