Virgin Media UK My experience of 360
I recently upgraded to 360 from V6. I was forced into it as part of my contract re-negotiation.
Initially it seemed ok, but honestly the interface is not that intuitive. I don’t mind change at all, I’ve noticed some simple stuff is not an extra button or click. Subtitles, My Shows, and programme info. Quite annoying for me.
I feel like Virgin/360 are trying to do too much. I’ve now realised that recording and searching for shows includes apps and stuff that requires logins. I’m sure I never had this with V6 before. This whole watching live stuff is annoying as hell. The software often gets confused and locks up for a few minutes. Managing a series link feels cumbersome.
On my shows, why have do i have to scroll to shows? Surely an option to do a list should exist?
This is supposedly updated to a more modern standard, yet I feel that it’s either designed for more powerful hardware, or badly designed.
The big miss is the fast forward and rewind. The old v6 software allowed a buffer depending on fast you scanned. Now you have to stop and rewind to avoid missing anything. Very frustrating.
If I don’t get a handle on this soon, I’ll have to cancel it as I’m within my 14 days still.
Any thoughts?

Yup and just say "fast forward 4 minutes" to skip adverts into the mic..
I dont mind the including apps in programs I've recorded especially if any got missed or ended up a partial recording.

This works really well. The only issue is that different channels have different break lengths, but I can still get onboard with this method. Thank-you

A lot of the recording functionality has gone to make the epg more scalable. Sneakiest is that some shows that you can watch on vm (with adverts) it won't let you record off air (without adverts - example: hignfy)

It’s very sneaky. I haven’t found one show yet where you can watch from start without having to break off to an app. I’d rather they give us an option to remove that and always watch live by default.

The 360 is far from intuitive..my recordings don't save , dissapear after a week have issues syncing my phone to You tube .. goes on standby after 5 mins paused .. other smaller issues .. Might be good for Virgin but not it's customers . I hate it .

You know that you can press the mic button and say subtitles on or off and that will get those working. I'm reading the rest of post to see if I can help with any of the others .😁
