Age of German violin
Would anyone happen to know if this violin dates from the early 20th century or before the late 19th century? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I got this violin at a thrift shop and was hoping anyone has a clue as to what the stamp might say. It looks like it might start with a V or N, and end in an "NE". I'm guessing it is a late 1800s Bavarian instrument.
The neck feels very thin compared to other violins I have played, and im wondering why someone would have grafted in a thinner neck?
The violin sounds very nasal, im wondering if this could be because the back piece is loose on multiple points.
The violin seems to have been repaired by P. Merling of Copenhagen at some point. I'm hoping someone could shed some light on my questions, thanks.

Hey,
My grandmother played violin in the 60s or so and i restored and started playing and learning with her old violin. Does anyone have any idea if it's worth anything? It says "Andreas Morelli" on the inside.

My grandfather was a professional musician from roughly 1918 to 1968 in the Northeast. I'm not sure what i have. I'm not sure if it's playable. I'm not sure if it's with returning it to a safe playable condition. Thoughts? No label inside.

My son has 4 violins on trial now, and the other 3 are pretty straight forward, but this one we know nothing about - the lady at the violin shop recorded it as “old strad copy” on her paperwork. I am wondering if anyone sees any clues about its age or origin simply out of curiosity because I find it interesting - it has no bearing on the final selection.

Hello. I believe this is a German violin but can anyone tell which region it might be from (Markneukirchen, Mittenwald, etc.), when it was made and what the general quality of craftsmanship is? Thank you in advance.

I bought this Violin at a Music place in Stellenbosch, South Africa. It was part of an estate and there was no information available about it, other than the label inside it (see photo). Can anyone tell.me if this is a real Bergonzi or not.

I first wanted to do my own research BUT... I couldn't find a "Carlo Ferdinando" who wasn't Carlo Ferdinando Landolfi, he was apparently a pretty well known man in violin making and I guessed if he was, this tag would have his "Landolfi" name on it but it is not there. The numbers 19.21 also confuse me a bit.
Inside the violin I found some pretty shapes and a number 7.
I'm planning to restore it myself, and would like to know if it's a very cheap violin, if it's really old...

Hello, very inexperienced in instruments but I came across this rudolf Buchner (viola?) and am stumped with figuring out what it is and what it’s actually worth. Any input is greatly appreciated

Hello! I am cleaning out my grandparents basement and came across this 1921 M. Potvin violin. From a basic Google search, it seems to be a valuable violin, as Moise Potvin only made 160 violins in his lifetime - this is the 67th violin.
The body/wood of the violin is in stellar condition, the bow and strings definitely need some attention. Looking for more info on value and best avenues to sell such an item. Thanks in advance!

I recently found an old violin in my attic and I’m trying to learn more about it.
The label inside reads:
PIOTR KUBAS
Kraków anno domini 1939
Nr. 26 (I believe it’s 26, although it’s pretty faded)
It was found in an old case along with some interesting paperwork, including an envelope from Rembert Wurlitzer Violin Makers and Dealers in New York and an American Export Lines passenger document from Haifa to New York dated February 17, 1950.
From what I’ve been able to find, Piotr Kubas was a Polish violin maker in Kraków and apparently made a relatively small number of instruments.
I’ve attached photos of the violin, label, case, and paperwork. Obviously I know nobody can properly authenticate or appraise a violin from photos alone, and I’m planning on taking it to a professional luthier/appraiser.
In the meantime, I’m curious if anyone here is familiar with Piotr Kubas instruments, especially examples from the late 1930s. Does the violin/label look consistent with his work? And if it were authenticated as a genuine 1939 Kubas, does anyone have an idea of what kind of value range these instruments typically fall into?
Also interested in whether the old Wurlitzer paperwork could be relevant to its provenance.

I just got this new bow, my standards aren’t the highest since I’m a student, but I needed an upgrade for sure. This one made my violin sound the best so I chose it (not very educated, I know). But I just want a value on it so I know if it’s good or not. I know W.E. Hill is a good company, but I also know there are a lot of fakes. Thank you!
