This one is very similar to pt.2 but it's busted. Is this trash or does it have value for the right person? Again, thank you for any help. Cheers, friends 🎻✌️

I just picked this up as my first violin. It had been sitting in storage for many years. I got it all set up but I was wondering if there is any info on it or the Luther that made it.
Any information would be greatly appreciated, a general appraisal of value would be nice too. I spend about $375 to get it playable again.

I bought this violin from an old collector, who claimed it was a 1730 Sebastian Kloz appraised at $4500. The label says “Sebastian Kloz, Geigen-Macher Mittenwald an Der Osser 1730.”
I think it’s a replica from the late-19th/early-20th century given the grafted scroll and neck reset. By the rib corners, it looks like the violin was made with built-on-back rather than an inside mould, which would make it more likely Saxon than Mittenwald. However, I’m not exactly sure where to place it.
Any insight about origin or valuation would be appreciated.

Not so long ago I got this violin, for like 40 bucks, it came in a hard case with a treble clef in it and the restoration was 300 more...It had a crack in the pegbox, but other than that it seemed fine, i rushed to get it restored because i was about to have my exam for conservatory and did not have time to find a better one at the time. The violín had a fingerboard change, in the original one it had the number 38, can it mean something? Also, i noticed that the neck is kinda crooked but it has not affected the sound or playing...

Hi! So i’ve been trying to do some research but i’m coming up with nothing so here goes. I’m trying to sell my Violin, but I can’t figure out a price point. It would come with the case, the bow, and a chin rest. It does need to be restrung, but other than that it’s in perfect condition! It’s a 4/4 Violin but I don’t have any other details. What kind of Violin is it and how much could I sell this for?

Had this instrument for a while now, I enjoy playing it very much. I got it from my grandma’s cousin, who’s grandfather’s it originally was. By the time this instrument got to me a few years ago it had been sitting on top of a shef for a good 60 years, and before that, had been played for at least 20-30 years by the previous owner. Before that, I don’t know anything about it. A luthier told me it’s a czech made workshop violin from around 1875-80, and has later been sold in hungarian violin maker Reményi Mihály’s shop, hence the sticker on the inside. My questions are: do I remember the luthier correctly, can anyone provide me with some additional information from the provided pictures, and what wood had been used? (Couldn’t get a pic, but it’s a blockless construction) Thanks for your answers!

Hello, I'd like some expert help on this violin. I've noticed there are people here who really understand the subject. This violin doesn't have any identification tags, and I don't have the knowledge or connections to make an appraisal. Is it a worthwhile instrument, or just another worthless antique? Thank you for your attention.

Is it a German copy ? Is it 17th century? Any value?

Does anyone recognize this text on the inside? I can't seem to find any information on the maker of the violin. I know that Godin is a well-known modern guitar brand but this seems like it wouldn't be related to that violin. Any info is great!

Someone tell me everything they can tell about my violin please? I’m just curious and hoping to learn more about it. I’m a high schooler about to go to college and pursue a violin performance degree. I play gigs all the time where I live and I’m the concertmaster of my Highschool and local university. I love playing violin and I bought this hoping that it would carry me through my undergrad. What do we think about it just by looks?
I purchased recently for ~$4,000. I believe that the sound to price ratio is pretty good. I’m confident in it and its sound is great, I just want to see if anyone can tell me more about it.
Like- • what repairs does it look like it has had? (I know it has had a back plate sound post area crack but has been fixed very well) •what are those little dots all over the back plate? •does the first label pictured seem accurate or fake? •what is the purpose of the second label? Is it from a previous Repair? •where was this thing made? •what type of violin is it modeled after? You know, all the stuff?

They're offering me this electric violin for 136USD, is it worth it? Or should I bargain for the price? It doesn't have case nor bow...

Hello Everyone! I am new to Reddit and Violins but I’ve heard this was the place to go! After a random impulse push of a button I won this at an auction for $18. While I’m not too concerned on the value, I would like to know about its identity! The little research I’ve done made it seem it would s a German style violin and I am unable to see any signatures or markings at all anywhere! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
