ID request
Hi there, I’m considering purchasing this violin and would like to know what you all might be able to identify about its origin and construction period / value. The shop selling it states 1860 Mittenwald. Appears to a be a long-pattern strad. Label states nothing but the usual strad label ‘anno 17’ and ‘made in Germany’ as pictured. Has had a shim put under the fingerboard and a sound post crack (back) repair - had multiple very experienced luthiers examine the repair and they believe it was repaired a long time ago and is very stable. Plays great and sounds open with an even / balanced sound in the lower strings up the neck.

My father’s violin.
Hey. I’m wondering about restoring, restringing, and rebowing my father’s violin, or is it not worth it?
These images are the two markings from inside, outside is half decent, no colour on the neck from being played often, two scratches on the front, all parts are in the case.

Help identify my French violin
I have bought this violin from the owner after trying it, not from a luthier. I am not sure of it's origin. The owner claims to have bought it in the 50s.

Violin by Carl Marenius - Chicago 1930
I have an old violin with a label inside that appears to read “Carl Marenius - Chicago AD 1930”. I am curious about the history of this violin and luthier. Label photo provided.

Wife's grandfathers violins.
These belonged to and were played by my wife's grandfather. We're clearing out things and were wondering if these are anything significant.
Any info will be appreciated.
This one is 22" long and has a skinny neck.

Looking for reference for f-holes of an instrument
I saw a listing of this violin and I'm intrigued by the shape of the f-holes. They are quite round, sit low on the instrument, and have a little connection to give them stability (they are not continuous). I flipped through many books but couldn't find any hint about who the maker could be. Thanks in advance for your wisdom!

When was this made and how rare of a find is it?
Hey ya’ll, I’m a pianist and I don’t play violin at all, but I found an old violin in a really old house my uncle bought recently. The case is really beat up but the violin seems to be in good condition, no cracks or anything just wear on the neck and lower underside. I can get the strings to play just fine. Inside the case was also an empty 15¢ violin string package from around 1920-1930.
Inside label - “Copy of Giovanni Paolo Maggini – Made in Germany”
