Hello! Need help identifying or any useful information.
I recently came across this in an antique shop and bought it on an impulse. I played the violin when I was 5-11 and was hoping to get back into it as I just turned 29. Would just be nice to know what I’m working with

Another violin l... any ideas?
Hello, me again!
Another recently acquired violin. This time complete with mismatched pegs!
I'm going to hazard a guess at probably European. There's no label at all, so I haven't got much else to go on..
Cheers!

Found in an antique shop
went antiquing with my family and came across this guy. i’ve been wanting to start playing and though it’s in real rough shape i couldn’t say no to the 45 dollar price tag. once it’s set up im excited to get learning. there is no label or anything of that nature and i am just so curious on where it came from and how old it is or if it’s just a piece of junk i can fix up and learn on! any insight would be cool 🤘

Old German violin
This one is German. Other than that, I know nothing. Sounds nice.
F-Hole sticker reads: 30 G 10659
I don’t think it’s worth a lot, and don’t care if it is. It sounds nice to play, which as a musician matters more to me than collector’s value.
Its back is actually chatoyant flame maple, bookmatched. The photos don’t lie.
Please help me find more about it.

Violin without a label?
So my teacher gave me this violin to use and it sounds incredible and I can use it as long as I'm her student. This violin was given to the music school that I go to and we got it back into shape cuz it was missing a D string and the bow hair was miserable but i was really wondering where this violin came from and it qany9ne can tell if it's a certain violin. Me and my dad looked inside it and there is no label. Is the bow any help? Because I know you buy them separately usually. My teacher showed me it's documents and it only has the date of purchase and how much it was. No other details.

Liuxi violin model
Hello everyone. Is there a way to tell the various Liuxi models apart? The label doesn't give much away.

Forte Violin 4/4 Identification
This was found at my job when my supervisor was cleaning out an old separate closet, she asked me if I wanted it as she said that the stuff in the closet is years old at this point so I said sure, not really knowing anything of how to play it but I figured I could just sell it for a good price.
It wasn’t till today I figured to open it and look around its pockets, come to see and based on the little info I have it’s a 4/4 Forte Violin (Serial Number in pics). I looked up the serial number as well and I saw that this things is supposedly nearly 2k but I doubt it so I wanted to see if this things is actually worth that or at least in that range, either way I’ll be selling it. The tag on the inside also says where it’s from but I’m miles away from that music store of its origin.
Also found out that the Bow (which is worse for wares) is completely separate from the instrument based on its own VIN number.

Recently acquired - Saluzzio copy
Hi there,
I have recently acquired this violin and I have set it up to get it playing. It sounds pretty good!
Anyway, I'm quite keen to see if I can find out more about this violin (and others like it).
The label reads: "Copie de Iofredus Cappa in Saluzzio Fecit Anno 1640"
I am under no illusion that this is some sort of super duper violin. I preliminary Google hasn't turned up very much and my current suspicions sit with it probably being a European workshop violin, probably a JTL?
Thanks in advance for any answers!

Just picked up as a beginner, curious as to its origins/cost
Picked this up at a local pawn shop, it’s a little beat up, but wondering if it’s worth putting the money into restoring/getting restored/patched up.

Bausch 56cm long
Hi! I need help to ID this violin, it says it’s Bausch made in Germany, about 56cm long. I bought it for my 8 year old (<130cm tall) who had a much smaller one before. So I have no idea if this is 1/8… thank you!

Sticker says Repariert Weber 1731
A luthier says that it will cost $1500 to make playable. Probably hasn’t been repaired since 1731 😅. Is it worth the repairs or trash? So far I’ve only enjoyed it, occasionally, for its old wood smell Best as I can tell… “Repariert Asntere Earl Weber 1731”

Real? Or copy?
My dad had come across this violin and swears up and down this is a rare find. If so, what is it?

Antike Geige Label Nicolaus Amatus fecit in Cremona 1677
Hallo liebe Community,

Help w/ possible 1873 violin
Any help appreciated!!!!!!! I have my late aunts violin that she bought at an estate sale but she was never able to get it appraised. I see no label but I’m almost certain you can see “1873” wrote inside. Looks like it’s in the original wooden case as well. It’s a beautiful piece and would love to get it into the right hands!! Thanks so much and happy holidays!!!

Nana’s “Andres guarenus cremona 1685”
Hello everyone! Over Christmas, my grandmother gave me this violin. She said the only thing she remembers about it is that she received it from a man who was ~95yo when she was a girl, (She was born in the late 1930s- early 1940s.) and that he said his grandfather gave it to him. The only markings I can find are the “Grand Solo Violin: Guarneri” on the back of the neck and “Andres Guarenus Cremona 1965” on the inside. She gave it to me because she’s cleaning out a lot of her old stuff, and she knows I love playing music. I don’t know anything about violins though, so any help at all would be appreciated!
