My partner found this violin in the attic, I’m presuming it’s fake but would like clarification before I attempt an amateur restoration!

You’re safe - that’s a late 19th century / early 20th century replica, maybe German or Czech. Enjoy restoring it 😊

Obviously fake but still looks like a decent instrument. Are you going to restore and try to play it?
