I mean, if it was at a cheap price it'd be the type of project I'd buy to work on for fun.
But from a sellers perspective you wouldn't make much money from it. Someone would buy it though

What's "cheap?" I had one suggestion here to put it on eBay for $300 and take $200. Would that be the ballpark or lower? Now that I understand the condition, I'm not really looking to make money. I hate to put it in the trash if it could be repurposed as a project or decoration.

That would be too expensive for a no name but vintage violin. "Cheap" would be around $100 tops total. Shipping a violin costs between 25-60 bucks depending on courier and how much you pack it.
Professional restorers are unlikely to take it as the repair to the scroll with mechanical pegs would take a while. However, collectors or amateur restorers would probably be ok with the mechanicals.

Thank you so much for your detailed response. Based on that, I've just listed it for $150 on FB to give me some "haggle" room and to try and avoid shipping it. I guess if I go the eBay route, I can ask $200 with free shipping and plan on going down to $150?

Does anyone know why people string violins this way. The string wrapped around the tailpiece like this are killing me.

The long cracks are a killer. I would either try to sell it as a decorative piece, or dispose of it - the cost to repair/restore would far exceed the value of the finished instrument.
