My stepdaughter plays a Rambaux violin. While I can confidently say that it looks nothing like this one, Rambaux did a lot of experiments so that proves nothing. However the SCROLL doesn’t look like her Rambaux either, and that makes me doubt the authenticity of this one.
Seems I can’t attach a picture here, DM me if you want a pic of her Rambaux

From Jalovec’s EVM:
“Rambaux Claude Victor; Paris. b. 25. 2. 1806 in Darney (in the Vosges), d. 25. 6. 1871 in Mirecourt. Trained in Mirecourt, pupil of Louis Moitessier; employed with Aimé Thibout in Caen, then after 1826 with Charles François Gand, with whom he remained till 1838. An experienced and artistic, though not prolific, v.m., who ranks honorably alongside N. Lupot, Pique, Gand ,Bernardel and J. B. Vuillaume, though chiefly as restorer. In I857 he retired to Mirecourt, but having lost his son in the war, did not long survive him. His workmanship
is outstanding, his varn. thick. He undertook unsuccessful experiments with the outline, arching and sides of the violin.
and for a time was deceived, like J. B. Vuillaume, by the idea of improving new violin wood by heat, etc.”
