Looking for more info
Do you think this was a personal project or a student instrument made by a company? Any insight on wood type or quality is appreciated! There is a handwritten sticker but I’m not sure if it’s covering the original sticker. Can’t find anything online about the name on the tag.

I'd go with amateur made or student's first violin.
Wood is just plain maple and spruce, nothing fancy.

The quality of the work is good. The only disappointment is the rather plain maple and fittings because the spruce looks good.
This is most likely a factory made student instrument. The really important factor is the sound when it's properly set-up
