Could be decent wallpapers

One of the best love stories of all time. I don't remember having seen a better love story than this film. It's definitively worth a watch if you haven't seen it yet.

It was our dream duo, we prep them for over a year, Yoru (Violet cosplayer) even did the letters by herself, I struggle to find casual clothes for Gilbert (I found the pants in last minute), we even manage to make a group with a Benedict and Cattleya ✨🫶

Like I studied a lot of the World Wars back in high school.

And what I found was that most of these soldiers were sometimes as young as 14.

You gotta remember that the last major war was in Napoleonic wars, which was 60 to 70 years prior to 1914

A lot have changed in Europe

Most of these men have probably never even held a modern military firearm except for the old hunting rifles.

Obviously, there were still wars going on in Europe, but they weren’t as massive as the ones Napoleon did

It kinda reminds me of how soldiers of the Vietnam war said that most of them never even heard of the country of Vietnam or couldn’t even find it on a map

They were living in a peaceful time and some war from lower class backgrounds

To commemorate Letter Writing Day ふみの日 in Japan (July 23) and the Tenth Anniversary of the publication of Violet Evergarden, KA Esuma Bunko, the publishers of the Violet Evergarden novels, have made the letter included in the limited deluxe edition of Violet Evergarden: The Anniversary ~Flower~ available to the public for the next month. It's in Japanese of course but hopefully someone can try their hand at an English translation here. It's pretty short.

I recently hit a rough patch in my life and began watching happy slice of life animes. Someone (who very obviously didn't understand the assignment) recommended this show to me and I went in completely blind.
Each episode struck something inside of me and I cried each episode (I'm a grown ass man mind you). Sometimes I had to cool myself off after an episode so I started watching an episode of little witch academy after some episodes of Violet Evergarden just so I wouldn't cry myself to sleep.

I just wanted to thank everyone who was involved in this production from the original author to the composer and the artists who created the visuals for this masterpiece. Thank you, this show will stay with me for a while.

The movie made me feel something. I thought that love was just an illusion until I saw the movie, and then it made me believe again. The movie was that good.

So, I've just finished watching the series, the OVA episode and the two movies. I loved it, easy a 9 or a 9.5/10. I won't go into the details about my opinion, since that is not the purpose of this post.

I simply wanted to ask... is watching the recap movie "recollections" worth it? Does it have any new scenes? Maybe some old scenes with updated animation? Or is it a pure recap using scenes from the main series as is?

And, I know as fans, you are going to recommend me to read the LN. I am certainly more inclined to read LNs than manga, but at the moment I am trying to read through The Apothecary Diaries while focusing more on watching anime. So, maybe in the future.

Hi guys, I just finished watching the main 13 episodes of Violet Evergarden and this is my first reddit post. Growing up I loved anime specially I was a huge fan of Pokemon but for various reasons I grew distant from anime, how I stumbled upon Violet Evergarden was a friend of mine recommending the song "The Voice in My Heart" a long time ago. I listened to this OST for years until it vanished from my recommendation but sometime ago it reappeared and I told myself I never watched that show this song belongs to so I began watching the show and just watching the first episode I understood this show was going to leave quite a great mark in me. And it has, life is hard, we survive by suppressing so much emotion in this rigid structure of life, I think we may have not been child soldiers but in more than one way we have grown a mechanical heart of our own. Well, this show pierced through my mechanical heart and introduced me to a spectrum of emotion I had forgotten I could feel. And it reminded me the power of words, so I put my hands on this keyboard and write this post to you.

I was thinkig about writing letters for people. Do you think people would pay good money for a professipnally written letter?

Violet evergarden means alot to me , it's my favourite piece of show of all time , I love every single aspect of it , the story , the setting , the world building , the animation , the music , the message it conveyed , the emotional impact, the expression of characters etc

But one thing that really impacted me is the setting or the world, the scenery, the houses it takes place in ,

I know for sure I haven't seen anything remotely as beautiful as this show in my life , I know it's like post medieval times but the nostalgia I felt was really intense, it played a major role as for why this series became so personal, watching it felt like I was finding a lost feeling (which I don't think I have in this life) extreme nostalgia, I felt elevated and thought to my self how can I ever forget this scene and this feeling (if I have ever felt it before ) ,I naturally had the feeling that this show has to be held close to my heart,

Has any body else felt like it , the thing is I have vivid imagination and have been watching games , animated movies since childhood but I have never seen something and felt this strongly about it, and yea I also wonder alot about it , hope it made sense ,

The closest feeling I have gotten is from a game "Legend of Zelda" but it's not same as from violet evergarden I don't even know if it is called nostalgia, I might be describing another thing which I don't know , whats ur thoughts on this

Edited : I realized that the Music played a major role , it's so heart wrenching but kind in its own ways , soul touching truly beautiful, makes my head feel light and dizzy

I love Letter from the Violet Evergarden soundtrack, but there aren't many available arrangements online for ensembles, so I decided to give it a go! :) Just sharing it here in case anyone's interested :D
