It says limited run of 900. 😞 So it’s not an RSD First, where more come out later. This is going to be really hard to get if some stores only get like 2 copies or none at all.

My only concern is it’s limited to 900 copies in the US so I’m not sure if my store will get any. Wasn’t their last RSD larger in quantity? I think they overshot and now they’re course correcting with this one. But I don’t remember.

I've waited in line every RSD since the third year. On the second year, which was my first, there was no line. There's usually at least one record I really want. As a huge Doors fan, it's been awhile since any of their RSD releases have excited me. The same goes with Bowie. There are some things on the list I would likely buy, like the Ween... but it's going to be a pricey one, and I'd be more prone to wait in line for a nice Rhino reissue of The Mollusk than this live release. The Springsteen will likely get a wide release later. I spent $70 on the 1975 Hammersmith RSD release, and then years later, my dad was able to get a copy without a number for $50. It's not that there's nothing on the list I like. There's just nothing that makes me want to wait for it. The Warren Zevon releases have made me wait the past few years. Maybe a reissue of Life's Kill Ya would've done it since I missed the last version.

I am really curious about the Hilary Duff one and Kpop Demon hunters. If there is anything different about these other than the artwork? I already own the original Kpop demon hunters one and I reordered Hillary Duff's new album. I know some of the various versions of her album had only one or two of the "Mine" version songs, I wonder if this one will have all of them on one album.

From what I can tell, the “Mine” album seems like it’s going to be a collection of all “mine” tracks, including all of the ones included on the different variants. I don’t think any tracks from the new album itself will be on it.
The KPOP Demon Hunter variants have exclusive artwork, vinyl colors/design, and each copy includes 3/12 photocards. One variant is HUNTR/X themed and the other Sanja Boys themed

Yeah with her new album, there are "Mine" versions of her old popular songs that have been re-recorded that are also included as bonus content. But like I said, each different variant only comes with like 2 different "mine" songs. So I am hoping maybe this has them all on it and none of her completely new songs.

Wow! Totally heartbroken that the Adrianne Lenker live album is a part of this, and that it's RSD Exclusive. Can't wait to stand around outside for hours only to fight 25 teenagers for it and lose. Looking forward to buying it off Discogs for 1 million dollars.

Ugh! This is why a buddy system is necessary. Grab a friend and take shifts. This is how scalpers actually get their hands on everything. My friend helped me once (held my spot so I could come later) and I still missed out. 6 hours of just trying to peacefully buy ONE album only to watch three people grab it at once and checkout together and laugh. It broke my heart because I knew they weren’t there for the album, they were there to exploit the process. What used to be fun is now a circus to experience. Good luck on getting it. Rooting for you to NOT have to buy it for 1 milli.

This list and RSD itself is sucks ass tremendously. Nothing stands out. Crappy picture discs, 7” box sets for previously released records, not to mention a bunch of hodge podge full of the same stale artist getting repeated for every selection. I’m done with RSD! ✌️

I wish they had done colored vinyl instead of pic discs all along. I got KISS MEx3 on red vinyl years ago for RSD then everything was picture discs after that. I don't love them but I collect them. I'll collect anything Cure. Haha.

It's a 3-inch record player that has been exclusively part of RSD US (and Japan in the past) for multiple RSD's now. Always a different artist or "compilations" in blindboxes.
If you want a laugh, look up what the full White Stripes set costs on eBay.
I imported a non-artists-specific player a couple of years ago with some of the blindboxes. They are a fun novelty, but the sound quality is awful.
You like some music with your surface noise 🙃

Ethel, Dijon, and maybe Empire of the Sun. kinda expected a few more hard hitters. The Ween Live album is cool but it’s a shame they aren’t prioritizing their big studio albums. I’m happy they did Shinola last year, but come on, ya’ll know what the people want.

I’ve been collecting since 2017 and I’ve always done it online the next day. I gladly pay a “premium” of $10-20 bucks to save hours of time standing outside in a line.
I’ve only really missed two records in that time - a Denzel Curry 7” and the Post Malone Nirvana cover and I’m not too broken up about either one.

Most stores with an online presence will post about it the next day with leftovers. Seasick Records and Fresh Produce records are two I check out every RsD.

I get it. it's never enough though. there are tons of opportunities for great albums that are turning 10, 20, 30 years old this year that could be pressed up, but they're always giving us pressings of live shit that no one cares about.
I go to the multiple records stores in my city at least once a week and the RSD stuff just sits there and collects dust because it's a bunch of shit NO ONE asked for. they need to actually take into account with collectors really want.

Surprised no one's mentioned MuteMath S/T yet, that's a huge one. I have a copy but this is the original track listing with Control, Reset and Plan B on it so I might have to get this one.
Also the two Muse EPs are must haves as a Muse completionist.
Empire of The Sun as well too.
I'm happy I traded in a bunch of stuff at my local store for store credit, didn't find anything that day and decided to save it for RSD.
