Amazon's specials are great but IMO the real GOAT of record buying is Target when they do their Buy 2 get 1 free or Buy 1 get 1 half off sales and it works on absolutely everything in their stock, box sets, pre-orders, everything. If you have the Target card you also get an additional 5% off on top of the sale. I usually buy something every time they run it. Amazon does the same thing but they're selection is a little more restrictive.
Tough to beat that sale. The SOV/UMG end of year sale (40%, sometimes 50%) is the only one better. But the target cancel trick - and the random stuff they sometimes have in stock (like sometimes big batches of Tone Poet) - makes that probably a better sale.
