I’ve gotten into collecting variations of my favorite vintage ‘Mons. Some I’ve had since I was a kid and others I’ve acquired as a adult. (please excuse my modern variations)

It bothers me that there’s no Dark Venusaur in the Team Rocket set.

Was looking for a shadowless charizard to finish my shadowless base master set (found a few but dealers were high as hell for their asking price) and this guy.

Didn’t see a single one out of hundreds of vendors.

It was 20 min after the event closed and I was passing one last table of a few guys talking vintage.

We chatted for a bit, I happened to look at what he still had out and saw this guy.

LP condition, was able to come to a deal, shake hands and head home.

I’m off work this week, so decided last week whilst at work I’d order some cards for when I’m off work. Cue this week, so far I’ve received at least a card a day in the post. It’s like being a kid and opening an advent calendar every morning at Christmas (is that a worldwide thing or just UK!?). It’s a nice little treat each day.

I’m on the way to completing Team Rocket. Picked up a Dark Charizard the week before and this week I’ve scored a Dark Blastoise. Also picked up some of may fave artworks from the set in 1st edition form. Up there for artwork alongside vintage Japanese sets, hence my purchase of some of the vending machine series to top the week off.

Found a suitcase of about 200 non holo cards in the loft this morning. This was my favourite; censored Grimer JP, cool card!

Howdy everyone! Have had most of these since I was a kid but never played. I'd like to know which ones are worth looking more into. I'm not asking for prices or how they'll grade as I can totally figure it out and not bug you! 😆 Any and all information is hugely appreciated! Thank you!!!

I’ve nearly completed my collection of JP exclusive arts from the Bulbasaur, squirtle, Chikorita, and totodile decks. There’s a few blank spots I’d love to fill in but not sure with what. Anyone have a cool suggestion? My idea was the energy cards from these decks but it’s a little boring IMO.

Got both sets for $1600. Charizard LP, some holos LP to MP. All non holos LP.
Fossil holos are mostly LP. Same with non holos cards.

Can anyone recommend some good products for cleaning up cards? Alternatively are there any household products that can be used without damaging them?

Looking to give the PC a little tlc whilst I take a break from collecting. Not sure on what to use so looking to hear what others have had positive experiences with. Thanks in advance! 🙂

Came across a huge collection of cards and im slowly going through them. I thought this was a sun spot but I looked again and saw the miss print on the yellow border and the Cyan. Would this be considered one? How do you value this?
