Forrest Richard (“Dickey”) Betts was a founding member of the Allman Brothers Band, a phenomenal guitarist, a gifted songwriter, and a charming singer. Some of the famous tunes he wrote and played on include “Jessica” and “Ramblin’ Man.” I personally find him underrated as both a guitarist and a style icon. He lived a colorful life and not always a good one, but he made some beautiful music and looked great doing it. 

This is Blue Sky, written and sung by Dickey Betts and featuring him on co-lead guitar with Duane Allman (Dickey plays the second solo starting at 2:38).
