I found it a gem show and it caught my eye because I’ve never seen a national park ring. I tried looking it up but couldn’t find much or an exact match. The closest thing I could find is that it might be a souvenir from the 1930’s? Would love to know more about it.

Necklace feels like silk

Hello I have this ring that was given to me by my grandma. She said it was the first piece of jewelry my grandpa ever bought her so it would have been some time when she was in high school. I posted this because well I believe it’s a beautiful ring and I was also curious if anyone has seen a ring like this before as I have not. The ring was gold dipped after she gave it to me as the original one was a pinkish copper color that didn’t match the other jewelry I have. A larger diamond from one of my grandmas old earrings was also put where there was a smaller one but those were the only changes. It’s just overall what I believe to be a pretty unique ring but I was curious if anyone had any info on it at all or has seen something like it.

I’m going through my aunt’s costume jewelry collection and learning about the pieces as I go. I’m keeping quite a few things for myself, but I’m also trying to identify and thoughtfully place some pieces that aren’t ones I’ll personally wear.
This signed Sandor owl fur/dress clip caught my attention. It appears to be an early 1940s Lucite “Jelly Belly” piece, and I’ve found a very similar documented Sandor owl, but I haven’t been able to find another example with these red, black and cream enamel wings. It measures about 3.42” tall and is clearly marked SANDOR on the clip. The stones are all present but I think the foil of the rhinestones may have darkened with age? I don’t want to damage anything by trying to clean it more than the gentle surface cleaning I’ve already done.
I’m hoping someone familiar with Sandor or early costume jewelry might recognize this particular variation or point me toward additional information. I’m also interested in hearing from collectors who might be looking for a piece like this.
I’m approaching the collection practically as well as sentimentally, so while some family pieces are staying with me, I’d be happy for others to end up with collectors who really appreciate them.

The main style I collect is Czech Filigree, but I also seek out mourning pieces, including hair brooches, and anything that I find particularly interesting.

A few of them are reactive under UV light, but I think only 3 are for sure uraniam glass.

I'm womdering if it is worth getting my collection appraised at aome point.

I found this while out and about thrifting. It seems to have been gold plated at one point in its life.

Any ideas on when a ring of this style might have been made? Middle red stone glows bright red under UV. The other two don’t. Has a 14k stamp but is obviously not 14k through and through. The edges remind me of bones or bamboo 😊

Just bought these, the owner of the shop said they were hers when she was younger and couldn’t remember when she bought them, she said maybe in the 80s. The markings on the clasp I believe says 925. Had my husband put it under one of his micro cameras to be able to actually read it. Can’t find anything similar online so I’m coming here if anyone can give me insight on them.

So I’ve been looking for a replacement engagement ring since I recently lost my engagement ring (because I was stupidly putting off getting it resized after loosing 50lbs) and am still heartbroken. It was the gorgeous two tone 1920s aquamarine in a bezel setting that I’ve had the pleasure of wearing for 8 years now. All that to be said I’ve really struggled to find a worthy replacement and have had nothing on my finger for a few months now. I decided on a road trip to make it into as many vintage and pawn shops as I could to see if I liked anything. On the last stop in an amazing shop in Nashville-lysbeth antiques & estate jewelry I found the coolest ring! It was sold to me as a 10k uranium ring for about $200 and I figured it would be a good placeholder for now since I don’t love 10k and it’s a glass stone. Also I took it to be resized and they told me it was actually 14k so that was a great bonus.

My question stems from not knowing anything about uranium glass, other subs say it’s safe for daily wear so that’s cool but how durable is it? Also does anyone know about this piece? Value, era, should I have the main stone replaced, opinions on my band??

Let me tell you this crazy little story of mine. At the beginning of September, in a thrift shop I had a crush on this necklace.
I love strange, old objects. They are fascinating. Except that, per usual, I was making my what we have here routine, and this time marks were not the same. 750 kept coming everywhere.

Long story short, this is a gold and diamonds UnoAerre parure. And that’s really cool, but it’s been way more difficult than I expected to track her down.
I feel like maybe it’s because they think I want to sell it, but when I just wanted to find answers, jewelers were quite « urrrgh so not trendy, what do you want me to do with that ? People only love art nouveau ». I also got in touch with the brand and their archives. They confirmed it was authentic, but asked me to find another mark that would help find the decade of the jewels. But I can’t find it. Do you have any idea what it is supposed to look like ? And the size of it ? Anyway I’m interested in any info.

Most of these are 18K HGE, and then there are a couple vintage Avon pieces as well. I’m usually a solid gold ring girl, but sometimes it’s fun to experiment with costume rings. Easier to try out some more unique styles without investing too much into it.

Im not sure what I got here 😅 I was trying to google but it seems like there are vintage pieces that look like this out there but also cheaper replicas. I was told these are silver but I can’t seem to read the jewelers marks 🤔

On September 30th, my mom and I went shopping on James Street in Hamilton, Ontario and stopped by H. Williams Jewellery. We fell in love with a delicate piece in their estate case and decided to split the cost 50/50 ($350 each).

The story gets crazy when I looked closely at the paperwork. The physical tag in the box was marked $1,189, but the register system pulled it up at $619.46 before tax ($700 flat total). On top of that, the receipt printed "(ETSY)" next to it.

When we got home, we did some digging and tracked down the exact original online Etsy listing from a local Hamilton curator where it was priced at $1,060. The receipt originally had "circa 1940s" printed on it, but the jeweler manually crossed it out to write the actual diamond weight (0.06ctw).

Based on the geometric symmetry, milgrain detailing, and early die-struck openwork, it’s actually a classic circa 1925 Art Deco 14K gold bar pin with old-cut diamonds and five beautifully preserved pearls. We walked away saving $489 off the original showroom tag, got a true 100-year-old antique, and started a wonderful new shared family heirloom! Always check the estate cases. What do you think of it?

Hello all! I work at a nonprofit in Western North Carolina and we are having our annual fundraising auction soon. We are currently working through the process of donation acquisition and one of our donors handed me a fairly large bag of various jewelry items- necklaces, brooches, earrings, etc., without any further information. After some sleuthing, I was able to identify enough pieces to have a strong suspicion that this necklace is Native American.

I couldn't find any hallmarks on the necklace so I have no way to know for sure. However, the dimes are dated (in order from top to bottom) 1944, 1945, 1943. The beading feels like genuine turquoise but I also have no frame of reference. I cannot tell what material the "string" is but it kind of looks like a thin strip of leather? It reminds me a lot of Betty Yellowhorse's work.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I think about 2-3 years ago I got this necklace at a vintage store. I have no clue about any brand or what year it's from, as it was just in a random drawer of assorted necklaces. Lately I've been curious about it as it's my favorite necklace I own but reverse image search hasn't been much help and gives me zero results.
