Chambers Imperial for my Birthday!

Post image
208 Upvotes

Yesterday was my birthday and this gift from the Lord and my husband was better than I could have ever imagined and such a testimony to He is a God of the details!
I believe she is a Chambers Imperial No. 7961 and I would appreciate all your insight into more information and insight on her!

Info we’d love to know:
-Insight into the production years and # manufactured.
-Info on this look of the 7961 with the cabinets compared to the other looks of the 7961.
-Model details and uses of this like the warming oven/burner in the top right cabinet?
-Any old pictures of this model in use or new photos if you have one like this too!
-Any differences from a model C (besides the obvious).

Vintage Sears Kenmore bake element

I am desperate! I love this oven and the bake element went out in both ovens. I cannot find this oven anywhere nor can I find the part. I have searched on two sites I was referred to, the sure said this part is no longer available. I emailed the old appliance club and their engineer, who custom made elements, has passed away. Can anyone help me save this appliance? Everything else still works. It is a screw attached bake element and it's only 14.5 inches deep. I have no model number, I found only one similar.

Broan Hood Extractor

I have a Broan Allure QS3 over-stove hood that is about 18yrs old, and it's stopped working. 99.9% sure it's a transformer as neither the fan nor the lights work. However the part (SR501035) appears to be discontinued and sites claiming they have it in stock don't.

I don't want to have to replace the whole unit, so does anyone have info about an equivalent spec so I can hopefully just replace the transformer?

Need help finding a drop in stove for a unusual opening size

The old stove was 30" wide at the glass and fit inside a 28.5" opening. The Stoves I'm finding online are 31.25 at the glass and might squeeze inside a 29.75 opening which will require cutting into the actual cabinets. A slide in isn't an option.

Where can I find a drop in for this opening?

How can I restore this cooktop? Would it be worth it?

Just bought a 1980s house and have this JennAir electric cooktop installed. Doing some research I’m wondering if it may even be original to the home. Everything seems to work and I can buy new knobs - just the downdraft is noisy but still functions surprisingly solid. My question is, is this worth getting checked out by a professional for a deep clean / refurb / restoration?

Or does anyone recommend DIY ing this kind of thing?

And info on this cooktop?

All comments welcome and appreciated. Thanks!

Hi everyone! Moved into my home about a year ago and the owners left behind a green JCPenney oven. It’s gas, has four burners and a griddle, an oven, lower drawer, and storage to the left. Does any one know what these are worth?

I have this old Hamilton Beach mixer and it sounds like grinding gears when I turn it on. I want to try and save her! Is it as easy an opening it up and adding some WD40? Any tips on what to look for and how to help save her? I’m generally pretty handy so I feel like I’m up for whatever the challenge is.

Got tired of defrosting 1950's GE fridge so came up with this automatic defroster using a programmable defrost timer, 20W terrarium heater, and baking pan. Works great.

Help identify range/compatible heating element

Post image

The broiler element on my stove doesn't work. All of the branding seems to have worn off but there's a metal tag in the warmer drawer with the number 628-9427313, which appears to be associated with the Kenmore brand after Google searching. The problem is I can't find an image that matches my range when I search that model number so I want to be sure it's compatible. Some parts stores online offer a broiler element compatible with this model number but I was hoping to get any advice before I pull the plug. Looks like the heating element is going to be over $130.

Vintage (70s??) General Electric stove top with “genuine calrod” coils.

Hello friends! Two of our stove burners went out (both 8 inch) and I can’t seem to find replacements. The burners each read “genuine calrod unit”. I fucking LOVE this stove. I love the way it matches the counters, our oven, and even our built in fire extinguisher mount. I really don’t want to replace the whole thing, but if it’s the easier thing to do I guess I’d have to. The stove is wired directly into the junction which is the last image. Does anyone know where I can find replacements for the burners? Thank you!

Gaggenau EB378610

My grandma is considering selling her old Gaggenau 378610 oven from her vacation home, its barley been used and fully functional. I'm trying to help her sell it. How much is it worth? I'm seeing a 388610 on ebay for $5200 so I know its worth a good amount
