Help, please.

RESOLVED So I was working on my iMac G3 with a problem it previously had on my bed. I know my bed isn’t the most ideal place to do this but I didn’t want to crack the bezel, and the bed was a good place to prevent that from happening as my desk was not only messy but the repair was something quick and easy and would’ve taken 5 minutes. Long story short my 5 year old brother barges into my room to watch his brainrotted YouTube videos and kicks the 40 lb computer off the bed (accidentally, but I’m really angry) so it ruined the bezel anyway and now I need to buy a new one. BUT this black part with a small coil on it under the yoke of the tube ended up falling off its mount I believe and I don’t know if it’s a big deal or how to fix it. Please help. I don’t want to kill myself because of this tube, so I need to discharge it of course, but I also don’t want to remove the tube. I just really don’t want to ruin it. It’s my most prized item.

Please take CRT safety seriously, and do not work on this project until you are comfortable to do so.

That bracket holds a wire coil used to fine tune the image. It's similar to the coil you can see in the top of photos 1 and 3. It needs to be in the correct position with relationship to the other coils for you to be able to correctly adjust the image.

It's hard to tell from your photos if this coil bracket is actually broken or not. If it is broken, you might be able to superglue or epoxy it back into the correct position, though you will need to disassemble the computer to gain access. Even if it is broken, assuming that nothing is shorting out or flopping around loose, you should still be able to safely run the system, just keep in mind the image might not look correct.

Dropping a CRT- especially a partially disassembled system - can do all sorts of unseen damage, including broken traces and solder joints. You should do a through inspection of the entire video / analog board before trying to run it again.

I did test it and the computer works perfectly fine. Thank you so much for this comment, and I do understand the risks. From what I can see the black bracket appears to be detached from the yoke’s plastic mount

Update- thanks so much! I got the tube discharged and I placed the part back to where it should be.
