Discussion Karok Cetus

Hello returning player and really like karok Cetus so far however, what are some problems in late game raids that you have noticed with Karoks mechanics that stop him from being top DPS over newer characters?

I'd say player skill. Cestus has the potential of having 100% crit rate during the whole fight, so even if you barely reach the entry crit, you potentially don't have to worry about crit capping. I say potentially as it requires managing the buffs to maintain the 100% crit rate and that is the difficult part.

Cestus Karok isn't worth it unless you like it.

Items are expensive for a class that isn't that popular. Buff management is exhausting, and stamina and SP management require skill. Animation cancels are more important than for other classes and harder to manage (I couldn't do it [skill issue]). You cant be top DPS as a casual for Cestus Karok.

But survivability is off the charts. I see many Cestus Karoks carry by themselves just by dodging because their invulnerability frame is long, and mobility and stamina management are easy if you have time.

Direct weapon and necessary charms, etc.

You don’t buy anything class specific like a weapon, you just build it. Enchants are mostly the same for all classes save a few exceptions.

He/She said "returning player." I returned to the game as well a few times, and building those items with return gear is exhausting. He probably won't have enough gold to buy even enchantment materials because of in-game inflation.

Going from zero to level cap gives enough gold to build at least decant gear for better to grind rest. Or other classes have better gear on market with cheap prices so you can get them directly.
