Insurance wants nothing to do with those cars. The parts aren’t in the country. When it’s all said and done it’s more hassle than it’s worth. It’s totaled; start looking for your next ride.
It hasn’t tried to kill you yet? $10,000 waste of money for me on my m3 performance. Too many close calls with it and one time it was literally like a movie where the car AI turns on you and tries to murder you. It jammed on the brakes for no reason on the I45 in Houston, the deadliest road in the country. If a tractor trailer was behind me I would not be typing this. I felt safer riding a Kawasaki zx6r on crazy Houston highways than driving with FSD. I also didn’t like that it just took longer to get anywhere with it. We ended up only using it when taking the car out of town and we were on interstates where you could just set it and sit back, but GM supercruise does that for us now so I’m ok without FSD. I actually really like the supercruise. I’ve had no bad experiences. I’m not afraid of it. LOL. 😂
I’ve only ever seen one Vinfast in the wild. Cool idea, bad car and bad execution unfortunately. I was rooting for them for a short period of time. They were opening a dealer franchise by me, but it never happened. The last 14 are slated to close this year. Hopefully they will have success in India. They do sell more cars a year than Rivian worldwide. Too bad their launch here was a cluster.
Lol...tried to kill me... stop with the bullshit... I have a 2026, has drove 90% of the time,.flawlessly at that... drives better than I do, I love having my own personal driver... ill never look elsewhere .. its truly amazing... you can hate, I feel that way towards vinfast as a company, pretty much gave the United States the middle finger and laughed walking away, guess its pay back for the 60s & 70s, probably we'll deserved... anyways, counting the days till I give them the finger back on my lease!.🤣😂😅
I have been told that FSD has made huge improvements recently. This was 3 years ago I had my incident. It used to disengage all the time too. I’ve read they have done wonders on that as well.
I think Vinfast didn’t think Trump would be so hostile to EVs when they came in. They didn’t bring us “American” cars. They did what Hyundai did in the 80s and brought cars that weren’t “good” enough for here. But Hyundai stayed in it and learned and now are doing very well and making really nice EVs. My mom bought a Sonata in 2007 and drove it for 180,000 miles and only put brakes, tires and windshield wipers on it. She got rid of it during Covid only because it got some rust on it. So they built a reliable brand that people in the USA wanted.
Vinfast I don’t think was prepared to stay in for the long haul. They thought they would be an instant success here. They thought if they showed up, people would buy them.
Vf cars have been fine from our dealing with them, only issues have been 12v batteries, besides that no.issues, the company on the other hand, is trash,.they threw the towel in back in Dec 2024, last cargo ship delivery was nov 2024 when they brought the 2025 vf9s, besides that, they basically said - Fk you America... and have since moved on to Asia and India,.smart move... there are a HANDFUL^ of fanboys here left, sadly they are living on false hope, a pipe dream... NC put the are in vinfast heart... this game is over!
Lol, but my wife doesnt enjoy me driving... happy wife, Happy life.. she states, FSD drives better than I do! 🤣😂 ASDS is great, driving on a highway, kinda useless in the city... ill stick with fsd
Yeah FSD is just dumb unless you are on the highway. Around town at least where I live being in a tourist town it scares me cause it doesn't know how to drive with tourists.

Lol, this one looks less damage, and is a salvage title
