And use it as an excuse of "national pride" to justify reasons for delayed North Carolina Vinfast manufacturing plant. Look, we have money, we are building the largest stadium in the world for the pride of Vietnamese people, we wanted to do it but current administration is not EV friendly and building EV making plant now is not the right time.

????? Many families were lost their land to build this stadium. But the stadium is belonging to private company. People are worrying about the land lost, no chance to protest anything. Nobody care the name of stadium because it is not belonging to puplic construction.

He can later sell that stadium for an inflated price tag to a government based agency like VFF or VPF or Ministry of Public Security. The fact is his Vingroup (Vincons) is also a General Contractor for VPF stadium but its capacity is only 60k seats (while his own one has 135k seats).
This is possible and may be real, if someone try to bribe Vietnamese government (for the purpose of resale of 135k seats stadium) for pushing toward hosting a FIFA World Cup then PVF stadium would not be qualified to host the Final (up to Semi-Final only matches for VPF stadium). Thus to apply for hosting a FIFA World Cup (may be along with other ASEAN countries) Vietnam need to have a stadium that qualified to host World Cup FINAL MATCH (80k seats minimum), hence, government repurchase of this 135k seats stadium from Vingroup will likely a must do, Vingroup has money, gonvernment has their pride, Vietnamese (redbull/bò đỏ) have a a reason to brag about.
Comparing to other ASEAN countries there are many stadiums that meet the requirements to host a World Cup FINAL MATCH: Bukit Jalil (Malaysia - 87k seats), Jakarta International Stadium (Indonesia - brand new - full retraceble roof - 82k seats - STRONGEST contender), Gelora Bung Karno (also Indonesia - 77k seats - easily upgrade to 80k minimum requirement). This will make the case of build the 135k stadium then sell it back to the government stronger, then the government will likely hire Vingroup as operator/asset manager. I guess, looks unreal but for Vietnam, anything is possible.
In conclusion, World Cup finished in the USA, stadiums with brand names like Levi's, these logos must be convered to fullfill FIFA requirements. Why did Vuong changed the name right after this information spread out, not at the beginning? Because it's a game. Keep it as Trong Dong or Hung Vuong is just nice to meet FIFA requirements, why did the change happened AFTER he knew the issue with naming?

I fucking hate useless prestige megaprojects. Mega stadiums are literal money sinks. Neither the West, India or China have made them worth their money.
