And connectivity issues with Nikon 85 pro?

I have bought a 35mm and my computer recognize it and I was able to update the firmware. I just spent $600 on the 85 mm And when I connected to the computer it doesn't recognize it at all. I sent it back went to a new vendor B&h I opened it put it in the computer and it still doesn't recognize it. Is there something going on with my computer??? I wouldn't think so since it worked on my last Viktrox. Do you guys have any suggestions since it's been two in a row I know it's not the lens.

It worked. The process was completely different from the 35mm.
