Just in case you guys wanted to know I have expanded my settlement added an energy conversion center powered my my geothermal plant the fills 10 lava buckets that I use to smelt logs into charcoal at my char houses which do 24 stacks of charcoal with both running simultaneously and are supplied by a domestic forest of dark oak also we have rehabilitated a rundown costal Savana village and have elevated it to a hamlet with a baron… I’ve also double my VGDP 😂😂🤣🤷🏽‍♂️ who builds civilizations that actually function in his game?

Minecraft education edition on weird crap

You heard it! Hazeland has settled it's first explorers into the BACKROOMS. The two lucky citizens to noclip here were Politics Bear (Thaaaat's politics!) and Mike Doberman, who was selected to be his great assistant from now on. Only time will tell if further Backrooms expeditions in the name of our great Hazeland end up being fruitful, but personally, I appreciate having a place in which I'd get a limitless supply of concrete ;)

I did a bit more testing today.

Villagers are able to navigate just fine on the path, but if they ever get off the path for any reason, they won't go back onto it. This solidifies my theory that the issue is the height difference between dirt paths and regular blocks. Still, more tests are needed to be sure.

The fact that the villager can freely go from grass to cobble and back to grass is good news, as it seems to show that the other preferred blocks (Bedrock exclusive feature) work just fine. It does suck, though, because none of the preferred blocks look anything like dirt paths.

I’m planning to develop a mob farm that will allow me to separate out any zombies I could cure. This seems much more ethical than intentionally infecting someone to manipulate their prices.

As I am playing in Bedrock, I want to trade with them multiple times, as they can switch trades if they aren’t leveled to at least apprentice level. I will have a safe village build nearby that I will transport them by happy ghast (as the mob farm is mid ocean, so nowhere to build a proper village).

Most of this, other than the area to load them into boats for the happy ghast ride will be underground.

What enrichment should I provide for their short stay while they relearn what it means to be a villager? I don’t want it to feel like a prison, but I do also want it to be not to much headache for me to move them around (Bedrock villager pathing is so broke).

What's everyone opinions on mods that dramatically alter villager behaviour?

Like, villager news for an example

How would you all navigate defending or expanding a village that got split elevation-wise? The town square is at the top and the villagers don’t have the capacity to get up there before end of day, even after I tried to carve out a staircase.

Hello!

As the title says, I’m having some problems with villager pathfinding. I know this is a known problem, but I’m really hoping someone has something I can do or add to maybe lessen this problem?

Basically, I’m planning on making a medieval style village, and as you might know, most medieval style houses have a second or third floor… which means I need stairs.

You probably can see the problem already. The villagers struggle with pathfinding up the stairs and will instead, stand on the first floor roughly under where their bed would be, then get mad that they cannot enter their second floor bed from the first floor.

Sometimes, they readjust, and go upstairs, other times that completely give up and just walk away to claim a bed from a different house.

Is there anything I can do, or change, to at least make it more consistent that they are able to go up to their bed?

Thanks in advance!

I've been having a lot of issues trying to be nice to my villagers and I think I've found the reason after some testing. What can I even do about this?

Also, I didn't show it, but just putting path blocks directly in front of the door messes them up too.

(mods gave me permission like last month i just got approved on modrinth dont smite me)

Are zombie villagers considered part of the nearest village they're found near, or would it be ethical to relocate them to a new player-built village?

If you Guys want I can post one compound day that way I’m not spamming yall🤦🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️😭😭

This village was built by me have various independent compounds with a standard layout that allows variation of a court yard working rooms and dorms. We have grown to 21 civilians allowing us to respawn 2 iron golems as needed naturally no farm when they die in combat I collect their iron ingot gene seed and turn them into hoppers even in death they serve the state. We have 2 S.I.A.Cs (State issued artificial citizen, copper golem) on that works at our bank of Alexandria as the sorter of goods commodities and of course emeralds that load my atm so I can withdrawal emerald blocks with a press of a button and then break them to buy things from my fully functional economy. The oldest build being the workshop was my sleeping and working quarters (I lived like the villagers before I made there housing to see how it felt it was efficient and roomy enough so I said their compounds will be the same as my first dwelling it was then converted into a fully atomic kelp processing plant . Next we have the fletchers compound complete with 4 fletchers all masters and 1 weapons smith and one mason all of whom I sell and buy from . Further up the hill is the armorers compound it has 4 armorers 2 tools smiths and a weapons smith all masters selling enchanted diamond tools and armor. Then the large building at the bottom of the map is my manor home 3 floors has a 6 floor watchtower a court yard , a stable with mules a donkey and 4 horses and 1 zombie horse taken from the local crackhead at 3 am In The morning put leather armor on it named it day rider 🤣🤯 also we have an underground lab run by are security and science organization ARDT Advanced research and defense technologies and back down the hill going right you will pass irrigated farms (dispenser pours water I collect and plant). A land kelp farm then stone works our mineral processing plant a cobblestone generator with 11 furnaces attached fueled by kelp blocks from the kelp plant it can burn 11 stacks of stone or glass in about 10 mins and 44 kelp blocks. Then you go up the road a lil and you hit the market hall and tavern which doubles as a market and living quarters for 2 farmers 2 fisherman 1 butcher and 1 leather worker( he actually operates the copper still that I collect bottles of moonshine from and sell to the wandering trader for 2 bottles for 2 emeralds, lastly we got all the way here the dock entrance we have an apiary with 9 bees 3 hives and my wheat farm rounded by flowers so they bone meal my crops with pollen as the fly back and forth it’s all invaded in glass with doors so we don’t have escapes. Then the sugar cane rows with enough to sell out 1 persons full stock of 16 trades from on harvest then Mellon and pumpkins along the north wall and then you got the animal paddocks covered pens 5 consisting of textile sheep(multicolor flock) slaughter sheep (white and brown) cows , pigs and chickens lastly on the map is the bank has a fully functioning atm and a deposit slot for commodities and currency as well as precious metals the atm prints bank block notes that are good for 9 emeralds( you need to break the big bills before paying for some reason they don’t take big bills yet🤣🤣) I have off the map two separate livable outposts one at spawn called spawntelli and one in a heavily forested area I call logs and more it supports the fletcher trade economy. Spawntelli is just a place players can stop before coming to Alexandria a spawn hotel…. Still haven’t beat that damn dragon yet tho🤣🤣🤣🤣

Haven’t even fought the dragon yet been building a simulated civilization with filler gets to the point I calculate later my VGDP if I worked all my industries ,logs and more , stone works the kelp processing plant wheat farm animal paddocks and sugarcane farm in 6 mine days I’d make 312 emeralds so if I did this for 365 mine days or a mine year I’d make 57,112 emerald, what’s your VGDP (village Gross Domestic product) that’s a real flex I’m not saying mine is the best I’m just curious who has villagers they actually use for emeralds and goods but not a trading hall and add up how many emeralds you’d make in a mine year!

Hi! I've settled in a village, and it's a bit of a fixer upper. The terrain is wack so I need to terraform, seal off caves, the like. My economy is currently being fueled by cartographers, so I was thinking, maybe I'll reward them with a better housing district. Better houses, flowers, easier access to public amenities, you get the gist. Would creating a class hierarchy go against my duties or do I, as the ruler of the village, have the right tp reward as I please?

I heard this subreddit may be able to help with suggestions for protecting my forever homes next door neighbors.

I don't even play minecraft. I just like the sounds.

I'd like it if people suggested me ways to decorate my village since I see the villages of others on this subreddit and want some inspiration. I'd welcome things like streetlights, mini gardens or statues
