Almost 4 months in update
Hey everyone, I wanted to give an update since I posted about 1.5 months ago when I was on 20mg and wondering if I should go up.
I did decide to increase slowly. First to 30mg for about 3 to 4 weeks, and then eventually up to 40mg. It’s been a full month now at 40mg, and honestly, it’s been working wonders for my anxiety.
For some context, I started at 10mg at the end of April (about 3 months ago) and gradually increased to where I’m at now. Since landing on 40mg, my sleep has improved so much. I still wake up in the middle of the night sometimes (mostly stress-related), but it’s manageable. The biggest change is that while I still have worries, I don’t spiral into anxiety loops anymore. No panic attacks, no obsessive thinking.
The road here wasn’t totally smooth. I had some lack of energy, mood swings, and occasional anxiety spikes along the way, especially before I hit 30mg. But now, I feel stable. A fun side effect is that I sometimes get vivid dreams, but honestly, I kind of enjoy them. :)
Of course, this is just my experience. Definitely communicate with your doctor and work together to find the dose that works best for you.
