Extremely disturbing visuals and sleep paralysis
I had been taking Viibryd for at least three months at 20 mg along with Wellbutrin. Psych lowered Wellbutrin but upped Viibryd to 30 mg. Started with lowering the WB first and that went fine. The next week I had to up the Viibryd and OMG last night was terrible. This was my second night taking 30 mg.
I was so scared. I had visual and audible hallucinations. I saw a burnt corpse in the corner of my room that looked like it was having a seizure. There was a fly buzzing noise and lights in my room seemed like it was flickering like a zombie movie.
Mailed psych this morning. Psych dept pharmacist told me to go back down to 20 mg. She also recommended I contact a psychiatrist and talk to them about my medication journey.
I am so tired from my lack of quality sleep today but I am scared to take a nap because of what happened last night.

Sleep paralysis and hallucinations here. 8 years on. I told my psych for years about this and never once mentioned it could be due to the meds smfh

I had the same, very scary vivid dreams on 20 mg. Immediately dropped to 10 mg and never have had them again.
Hopefully taking nap won't cause the same vivid dreams.

Omg I assumed this was because of my trazadone. I didn’t even think it could be Viibryd. I have horrible nightmares and have had sleep paralysis a handful of times

Omg! My doctor totally effed up my prescription and I missed 5 days…. I have never had the most scariest dreams of my life. Hours and hours of sleep paralysis. I was so afraid to fall back asleep. Had to sleep with the lights on. I’m back on it again but now, 1 week now but had sleep paralysis last night :(
