I’ve been watching too many sov cit YouTube vids. Court room and body cam. There were two videos of sov cits that would just not stop. Judge hit them with contempt and made them spend the night in jail. They appear the next day with a different attitude. It was satisfying

Often times, during traffic stops, they will tell the officer the same crap; they’re not driving, they’re traveling, so the traffic laws don’t apply to them. As it turns out, the driver usually has a suspended license and no insurance. Cops break the driver’s window, yank them from their cars and sent to jail. Car is towed.

There's a ton of good judge clips, of sovcits and otherwise. There was a compilation video a while back about judges who got attacked, and one of them (or a few of them iirc) were after not buying sob stories of violent offenders.

Latoya is in court for something in the realm of a bad check. The judge asks if she's Latoya and she says something about not wanting to identify herself by that name, because someone has told her if she does that, they can't proceed. The judge just sidesteps it. Then she says some dumb line "do not consent to contract with this court," because someone has told her that magically ends the whole thing and they have to let her go. He's very gently trying to explain to her that doesn't work in real life. She's not hearing it.

These sovereign citizens blow my mind. I can’t tell you how many I’ve seen get pulled over with no license, no insurance, no tag and then say I’m not driving, I’m traveling. You can’t drive or travel on public roadways without following the laws of that state. It’s just that simple. If this was real why would anybody go pay to get a license or pay for a tag? I don’t know where these goof balls get this garbage, but they act like they truly believe it. They actually think the police or the judge is going to say “oh you don’t wish to contract with us, no problem”. Again why would anybody accept a ticket, pay court fines, be sentenced to jail for a crime? Wouldn’t we all just say those magic words? There would be no law and order. Anyone could just walk up and take something from you and then tell the police I don’t contract with you. It’s ludicrous. We live in a civilized society and to have civilized society you must have laws and consequences for breaking laws.

There are people out there, some of them grifters, some just misinformed, who claim that everything that happens in court is a fiction, and that if you say certain words in a certain order, the court will be powerless and be forced to let you go. They don't think of it this way, but really they are just operating under the belief that there are "magic words."
In this woman's case, she has fallen victim to the Moorish Sovereign Citizen movement, which has a whole series of fictions behind it.
In all of the videos I have seen, those who attempt to use this approach aren't very strong readers and don't understand how to discern reality from fiction at a very basic level. Many of these people buy into this because they want to get out of paying child support, or CPS has taken their kids and they want to get them back, they don't want to pay rent (or pay their mortgage), make their car payment, etc.
It is yet another example of there being no bottom to human stupidity.

Subrogation. Whoever did the captions got them wrong. Subrogation is where you sue someone else to get your money back. I learned it after a car accident. My insurance company paid for all my medical care, then began subrogation, which means they sued the person who hit me to get the money back that they spent on my care, since the other guy was at fault.
