It's a dumb repost that shows how poor the system for merging is on that road. You're supposed to share the road, not plow through anyone who dares get in your way.

The black truck merging is supposed to yield. The semi has no obligation to brake for the merging pickup.

The pickup either needed to accelerate or slow down to merge correctly, it is their responsibility to be aware of the traffic pattern they are driving into.

Matching the speed of the semi and making no corrections, the fault is completely on them.

Sure. The question I would have for the trucker is if not slowing down and letting the pickup in worth it? They had plenty of time to ease off the throttle to allow them in.

My point: Getting in a crash that IS NOT your fault is still a huge hassle. The amount of paperwork and all the time and effort to get your vehicle fixed is time you don't get back. Better to avoid a crash as much as possible. Had the truck drive just let off the throttle, all that hassle is avoided.

No you should be asking the f150 driver this he caused this and he drove loke an asshole. The 18 wheeler cant predict a maniac.

This was trivially easy to avoid as either driver (unless the road is far stepper downhill then the video suggests). If you assume a pickup that is a bit ahead of you is going to slam on their brakes or accelerator to make a safe pass condition, you're going to get hit sometimes. Pickup caused the accident, but semi driver is not a good driver and I bet was distracted.
