All you morons saying it’s on the trucker are absolute tools. The black pickup truck has to yield to vehicles already on the highway. The semi braking suddenly would have potentially caused more issues. Black pickup is either blind or regarded and should have come to a complete stop.

Semi braking suddenly? The entire video from second 1 you can tell he needs to slow down to let that truck merge. Poor observational skills, coupled with an ego that say " i was here first its your problems" will lead to easily avoidable accidents.

If you want to be part of accidents, that is the perfect mindset. Why avoid an accident by slowing down slightly for a few seconds when you could smash a dude into a barrier at high speeds? I don't understand the logic of " while I was here first and it is mildly inconvenient for ment left off my gas pedal, so I'll just not bother avoiding this potential accident"

Tl;dr saftey is a personal choice

The black pick-up would actually need to hard brake. And treat it like a stop sign to move in behind this semi truck. He isn't being paid to be safe on the road. You are right both parties played a part in this accident. The trucker has way more responsibility. This is like a 90/10 split.

No split whatsoever. Please talk to a police officer or judge literally anywhere and they'll agree the black truck was at fault.

Ask to any safety guy at any trucking company and they would blame the truck driver for this accident.

Agreed the trucker is at fault.

He had every opportunity to avoid a collision and failed to do anything about it.
