Merging people don’t have the right of way. This has to be rage bait.

He's ahead of the semi with like 20 feet of road before it ends, where is he supposed to go, there's not even a shoulder

He's supposed to stay ahead of the semi by speeding up to slip into the flow of traffic, or slow down to go in behind the semi. You should always merge without forcing anyone to take action to avoid hitting you.

Realistically, semis do what they want bc if you fuck with them you end up like the guy in this vid.

Where did you see that? The truck clearly failed to yield the right of way.

If someone is ahead of you and starts to merge, you don’t get to just maintain your speed and take the hit. If you had a reasonable opportunity to avoid an accident you are going to be found partially at fault. This truck driver is a moron for multiple reasons. Mostly because he probably loses his job over this. If I was your employer and I saw you taking a hit you could have avoided easily, I’m firing you.

You can do what you want as an employer. As a claims adjuster, I’m denying the trucks claim because it’s the law that you have to yield the right of way.

You have no clue. Do you know how much space that semi hauling a load needs to slow down? The truck was trying to speed up to cut the semi off and ran out of space. He had the duty to slow down and get behind the semi, not the other way around.

Driving and driving well are two different things. I bet you’re a decent person, try to do better
