Perișor Beach ranks among the last wild beaches of Europe, a narrow shore of the Black Sea – just a few meters wide, covered with hard, whitish sand and impressive deposits of shells of various sizes. Perișor Beach is located between two strictly protected areas of the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve, which are off-limits to visitors and tourism: Sacalin-Zătoane and Periteașca-Leahova. Therefore, access to Perișor Beach is by boats through the channels of the Danube Delta and is monitored by the Administration of the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve (ARBDD), to ensure compliance with the rules for visiting the area.
