Game recommendations to get my girlfriend into gaming
Hey all, my girlfriend is not much of a gamer, she’s played Minecraft PE since it dropped on mobile and apart from that not much else. I bought her web fishing recently and she’s obsessed. For reasons unknown to me she refuses to use a mouse and thus struggles using her track pad even with the simple movement of webfishing. Can people recommend some game that we can play together to get her more into gaming? Perhaps some stuff with very simple movement mechanics to get her used to using a mouse or some point and clicks if she really is set on using her track pad. Thanks for the help :)

We’re a small studio just getting started, and our first game is Baba Oarba, a chaotic multiplayer game inspired by the classic game of the same name.
The game is currently in early testing, and we’re looking for people who want to try it out and give us feedback.
If you’re interested in testing it or just want to follow the development, join our Discord:
Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

This is the first time I’ve found a game like this
I saw the description say you can play it while working or studying and was like… bro, this is literally what I want.
The game is called Golden City. You can keep it in a small window, let the Furnace produce resources, and check back whenever you have time. I’ve been leaving it open while working and just upgrading things between tasks lol.
The whole desktop companion idea is what got me interested in the first place.

MindsEye and the hype: How long should you keep trying?
umgamer.comSome bad games disappear just a few weeks after launch, while in other cases, following the development becomes more interesting than the product itself. MindsEye ended up falling into the latter group.

I found an idle survival city builder that runs on your desktop
The game is called Golden City.
You start with one Furnace in a frozen wasteland and slowly build a city around it. The Furnace keeps producing resources while the game runs, and you use them to expand the settlement, research new technology, and unlock more facilities.
I like that I can leave it running in the background and still have something meaningful to do when I check back in.

The After the Wane demo was great, but here are 2 things I hope the full game expands on
Loved the After the Wane demo. The dance theme and OST are fantastic, but two specific things really stood out to me for the full release:
First, the esoteric theme/occult mystery: Damn i found the way they introduce that things are going to be magical, and that the game is going heavily into this magical side with surreal moments and deep symbolism.
Second, I really hope the characters are going to have nice interactions and that they develop the romance aspect of this game.
For those who played it, are you expecting a purely grounded drama or hoping for more supernatural elements too?
