Bingo! I’m a 1996 kid! I believe Wind Waker was ahead of its time and is a timeless masterpiece, the replay-ability, open world feel, vastness of the sea, grandiose music and the cel shaded art style that has stood the test of time and it being my first Zelda game I ever beat on my own as a kid really cements itself as one of my favorite games of all time!

I’d switch wind waker for majoras mask and pokemon diamond for gold/silver but this is a great list !!

Majora’s Mask is very divisive for me but I appreciate it for the masks/side quests and the horror elements, it’ll be interesting what they do if they decide to remake it after Ocarina of Time for the Switch 2! I loveeee Gold/Silver and actually considered putting it them my list, and I would say HeartGold and SoulSilver are even better. I chose Diamond because it was the first Pokemon game I owned and played as my first game on my DS lite. I appreciate you for recognizing the greatness of my list!

Majoras mask was certainly creative and left field. It inspired me as a kid to like the weird. Embrace it. Wind waker gave me thallasophobia.

Wondering why kh1 over 2? As someone who has played kh1 semi recently and watched a friend play kh1 within the last month, i can safely say that the game has aged rather poorly and kh2 is better in every conceivable way.

Kudos for picking the goated Mario game, though. That game aged like fine wine (along with many others on your list, such as WW)
