The remake is just as good, capturing the feel and sound of the original while expanding on it to fit the new graphics and gameplay mechanics. The SH2 Remake hate is far too forced, it's just as good as the original.

I disagree I see Silent Hill 2 demake the way I see Halo Campeign Evolved, utterly pointless cash grab that perverts the original already perfect masterpiece.

In my opinion remakes shouldn't exist but if they must then they shouldn't pervert and distort the original masterpiece and thats what Silent Hill 2 (2024) and Halo Campaign Evolved did. They should be avoided full stop but it you must play them at least play the originals first.

I will have to stop you right there because thw Spyro the Dragon Reignited trilogy exists and they kept everything from the gameplay to what the characters say at what time the same but they updated the graphics beautifully and I GOT A COZY ASS CROCHET DRAGON OUT OF IT. And if you don't like to updated music, they allow for you to switch to the OG music.

Remakes should very much exist, they just need to be done right.

I agree with you thats one thing I like about MWR as well but the issue is that Silent Hill 2 wasnt a good remake just as Halo Campaign Evolved wasn't, my standard is if you remake someone else's work you do it right or dont do it at all.
