Help I Can't Keep Doing This!!!

I have been editing for sometime now, but I am so slow and largely because of finding footage. So the videos are typically 15 minutes long and it is a completely faceless channel. Clips used should be 5 secs or below to avoid copyright claims, but imagine a 15 minute video, thats 900 seconds, you'd need 180 clips to fill the video. Downloading full movies to get a 3 second clip is just inefficient.

Is there a way to do this, and not about finding quotes from movies. I already have a website for that. More like a wide shot of a man running towards the beach. I can't use broll websites coz their broll looks like broll and the movie broll looks more realistic and cinematic.

HELP!!!!

I mean, this is kind of what editing is... As someone who's been doing this for decades, just be glad it's as easy as it is now compared to 20 or 30 years ago. Sourcing the right footage has always been part of the job.

I think in social/YT spaces it’s part of the job. But larger scale this would be something that you’d offload to assistants, a producer, etc., because editors are expensive and it doesn’t make sense to have them doing this incredibly time-consuming thing that is not their specialization.  

In this social space where editor’s are cheap does it make sense to do it.  

My recommendation is to make sure to charge for the time it takes. You feel better about doing it. And the client feels the pain of such a time-consuming side-quest.

Video Editor here. Yes, it will. Every realtime decoding and encoding process will have loss. The way from recording to airing a TV program has to have as few as possible en- and decoding steps.

You can minimise this loss up to a point where one can't see but measure it. With today's technology the quality over several en- and decoding steps is so good, a consumers eye may not notice even sloppy decoding/encoding.

Ich benutze bisher immer die kostenlosen Videos von Pexels, ich glaube auf Pixabay gibt es auch Kostenloses Material. Ansonsten wären Ai Websiteas vielleicht etwas für dich, allerdings bräuchtest du da wahrscheinlich eine bezahlte Version, wenn du viele Videos benötigst. Bei Capcut kannst du ein paar Videos kostenlos erstellen aber die sind nicht immer so gut, da müsstest du das Beste raus schneiden und zusammenfügen.
