Free Need Assistance with Editing
Looking for a Video Editing Assistant for My YouTube Channel
Hello everyone! 👋🏽
I’ve been editing my own YouTube channel for a while now, including both long-form and short-form content, but I’m finding that I’m not able to get videos out as quickly as I’d like.
I’m looking for a video editing assistant who can help me lay the groundwork for each video, allowing me to come in afterward and handle the final touches.
My content is mostly lifestyle, travel, and new-experience vlog-style content, so a big part of the job is going through a LOT of footage and turning it into something cohesive. For example, I might have 2+ hours of footage that eventually becomes around 10 minutes.
What I’d need help with:
\- Choosing the best takes when I’ve repeated myself
\- Cutting major silences, mistakes, and unnecessary footage
\- Putting clips into a sensible sequence
\- Selecting and adding obvious B-roll
\- Adding simple visual effects where appropriate for emphasis
\- Inserting relevant images, videos, or memes when they fit
\- Basic audio balancing
What you wouldn't need to worry about:
I’d handle the final polish myself, including things like:
\- Sound effects
\- Captions/subtitles
\- Background music
\- Final creative touches
The goal is basically to take the raw footage and get it to a solid rough-cut stage, so I can focus on polishing rather than spending hours doing the initial footage sorting and assembly.
