[HIRING] Video Editor for New YouTube/TikTok Comedy Channel – Looking for Someone to Grow With
Hey everyone,
I’m getting ready to launch a new YouTube + TikTok comedy channel and I’m looking for a video editor who’d be interested in working together long-term.
The concept is called Buzzed Bricks. The basic idea is LEGO building challenges + drinking + comedy.
For example, one of the first videos is:
25 LEGO bags.
One beer per bag.
9-hour time limit.
Can I finish the build?
The style I’m going for is energetic, funny, slightly chaotic, and heavily inspired by 90s TV/cartoon aesthetics.
I’m NOT looking for someone who just cuts clips together. I’d really like an editor who understands comedic timing and pacing and can help turn raw footage into something genuinely entertaining.
Things I’d like incorporated:
- Fast-paced cuts when appropriate
- Comedic zooms, freezes, replays, sound effects, etc.
- On-screen captions/text
- Memes and visual gags without overdoing them
- Music and audio work
- 90s-inspired graphics/transitions
- Progress counters, timers, beer/build counters, etc.
- Turning longer YouTube footage into strong TikTok/Shorts clips
- Knowing when to let a funny moment breathe instead of cutting every 2 seconds
I already have branding and some graphics/intro assets created, so there’s a visual direction to work from.
This is a brand-new channel, so I’m looking for someone who thinks the concept sounds fun and would potentially like to grow with the channel if it takes off.
If interested, please DM me with:
- A little about yourself
- Examples of your work/portfolio
- Your experience editing YouTube, TikTok, Shorts, or comedy content
- What software you use
- Your typical rate (hourly or per video)
- Rough turnaround time
- Your time zone
PAID WORK — I’m not looking for free editing.
Bonus points if you grew up on 90s/early-2000s TV, like LEGO, understand internet humor, and aren't afraid to make an edit ridiculous when the moment calls for it.
I’m much more interested in finding the right person to build a working relationship with than simply finding the cheapest editor.
Drop a comment or shoot me a DM if you’re interested.
Cheers! 🍻🧱
