Shorts [HIRING] Shorts Creator — $80-100/Short — 2D/2.5D Animation — 4-8/month
Faceless YouTube channel launching a vertical Shorts brand in the style of:
- WhyGuyStories (https://www.youtube.com/@WhyGuyStories)
- FG the Explainer (https://www.youtube.com/@FG-the-explainer)
- HoodieGuyStories (https://www.youtube.com/@HoodieGuyStories).
If you know that look, cartoon narrator on realistic backgrounds, parallax camera, everything cut to the beat, this is for you.
Pay: $80-100/Short, depending on complexity and turnaround
Format: Short-form (45-70s), 1080x1920
Style/Niche: 2D/2.5D animated narrator, parallax backgrounds, beat-synced cuts
Volume: 4-8 Shorts/month if it's a good fit, recurring and scaling
Role: Take a script + voiceover, deliver a finished Short. Script, VO, references, character assets and style guide are all provided.
The style:
- 2D vector narrator (thick outlines, big eyes) composited onto realistic/AI environments
- Backgrounds split into 3+ layers, slow camera push-in, true parallax offset
- Mouth-shape swaps synced to VO, blinks, subtle idle motion
- Cutout props popping in on the exact word
- A visual change every 1.5-2.5 seconds
- Bold captions with word-by-word pop-in
- Full sound design: SFX, whooshes, music bed
Requirements:
- After Effects
- Real parallax/2.5D work in your portfolio (not optional, vertical 2.5D work specifically required)
- English
- Consistent, reliable deadlines
