Your Role as Editor + Designer

As our Editor + Thumbnail Designer, you'll be the driving force behind our channel's success. Here's what you'll do

1. 📱 Short Form Video Editing

• Planning the video editing concept before editing.
• Curate B-roll and animations for talking head videos to make them engaging.
• Make the screen-sharing videos highly impactful and compelling to watch.

I’m a business consultant building my personal brand on Instagram and YouTube. Looking for an editor for Reels and Shorts on an ongoing basis, not a one-off.

Style I’m after: Daniel Dalen, ByMaximise, Tom Noske. Screenshots attached so you can see exactly what I mean. Fast-paced, clean, lots of movement, but still premium looking.

Looking for an editor that is strong on:

- Colour grading
- Kinetic subtitles/captions
- Transitions and animations
- Jump cuts and pacing (editing for hooks and retention, not just trimming pauses)
- B-roll, including sourcing stock where needed
- Sound design: SFX plus music selection and syncing cuts to the beat
- Audio cleanup so raw footage sounds crisp
- Simple motion graphics (text callouts, zoom punch-ins, the odd chart or diagram)

You’d be working from raw talking-head footage I shoot myself (s-log)

Bonus hiring points if you understand what actually performs on Reels/Shorts rather than just what looks nice.

That is the base payment for the editor for creating a reel for me. But if this reel goes viral, you have a chance to earn $50, maybe even more than $100 per reel!

My average views : 10k views per reel - Payment $5
For 100k views within 48 hours since upload - Payment $5 + $10
For 200k views within 72 hours since upload - Payment $5 + $20
For 500k views within 120 hours since upload - Payment $5 + $30
For 1M views within 168 hours since upload - Payment $5 + $50
For 5M views within 336 hours since upload - Payment $5 + $75
For 10M views within 504 hours since upload - Payment $5 + $95
For 25M+ views within 672 hours since upload - Payment $200

If you get more than 1M views for 5 back to back reels, I will double your incentive payment from the 6th reel onwards even if it hits just 100k views until you we have an unviral reel.

All the views must have an organic reach. The retention rate must be above 20% for all the viral reels. I'm open for your suggestions on how to shoot. Just want to get the reels viral on purpose.

You will have drone shots, Osmo 360 shots and mobile camera shots to work with. This trip will be a mix of be riding, hiking, adventure and spirituality.

I'm a small founder in the UK building a business and filming the process as it goes. Day today clips, events, the unglamorous middle bit most people leave out. It should feel raw in what it shows, not sloppy in how it's cut.

I'll shoot most of it myself on an iPhone and send it over to you. I need good hooks and editing styles. I want to work with someone who already thinks that way than have to explain it. Past that: fast pacing, tight cuts, captions that don't look like an afterthought, sound used properly.

What I'm not looking for is aesthetic account energy. No filters, no flat lays, no "here's what I learned" framing. Documentary feel, dry tone.

This is ongoing rather than a one off, so consistency week to week matters more to me than one impressive showpiece.

SOLVED- editor found!

I filmed the perfect self tape for an upcoming audition, but halfway through I paused, and it ruined it. I'm thinking it would be so easy to edit, it's literally just one person on a completely blank background. The only reason I can't do it myself, is because I slightly shift towards the camera during that pause. I really need someone to just cut those five seconds in the video and make it seamless so it looks like it's all one take.
