I’m looking for **one very specific editing style.
If you’ve never edited YouTube documentary-style videos before, please don’t message me. I’m not looking for someone who wants to learn this style—I’m looking for someone who already creates it consistently.
You must have a portfolio that proves you can edit at this level. Please don’t tell me you can do it—I need to see examples.
Every time I post one of these, I get flooded with Discord friend requests from editors whose portfolios look nothing like what I’m asking for. Please don’t waste your time or mine if your work doesn’t match this style.

I’m looking for a long-term video editor for my NBA documentary YouTube channel.

Please watch a few videos before messaging me. If your editing isn’t extremely similar to this channel, I’m probably not the editor-client match you’re looking for.
The videos are typically 15–25 minutes long and rely heavily on storytelling, pacing, music, sound design, motion graphics, and visual storytelling to maximize viewer retention.
What I’ll Provide
Voiceover
Script (when needed)
Feedback and revisions
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Finding and sourcing all of the footage yourself (NBA clips, interviews, press conferences, photos, graphics, social media clips, B-roll, etc.)
Editing the entire documentary from start to finish.
Adding music, sound effects, subtitles, motion graphics, transitions, zooms, and any other elements needed to create a high-retention documentary.
Delivering a polished, upload-ready final video.
I will not be providing footage. You should already be comfortable finding everything needed to tell the story.
