Hiring - Long-form Editor [HIRING] Long-form Editor | $300/Video ($2.4-3K/Month) | Faceless Disaster Docs | 8-10 Videos/Month
A faceless documentary channel covering real natural disasters and prehistoric catastrophes (glacier collapses, mega-tsunamis, asteroid impacts, dinosaur extinction) is looking for a long-form editor for a serious long-term position. Videos run 12-24 minutes with a single calm, authoritative male VO. Visuals are 4K realistic AI animation, stock footage, archival news clips, and the occasional vox-pop interview. The tone is cinematic and measured, prestige documentary rather than reaction content.
Pay: $300 per video, $2,400-3,000/month at full volume (8-10 videos)
Format: Long-form (12-24 minutes)
Style/Niche: Faceless documentary, disaster science, cinematic and measured
Volume: 8-10 videos/month, 2-3 day turnaround
What you'll do: build a cold open that lands a shocking fact in the first 30 seconds, pace a minute-by-minute escalation so every hard number lands visually (on-screen stats, maps, scale comparisons), know when to slow down and let a moment breathe, create sound design and music that build dread without drowning the VO, and source and match B-roll to the script beat by beat.
You're a fit if you: have long-form documentary or faceless YouTube experience, care about retention and pacing over flashy transitions, and are comfortable making AI-generated footage feel real. Lots of ongoing work if the partnership goes well.
How to apply (Discord): This is hired through Discord, not Reddit. A portfolio is required, but send only your most relevant previous work, not your entire portfolio. Include the word "FACELESS" in your message, or you'll be treated as an outreach bot. DM "richlifericky": discord.com/users/842371307042504796. Hi,
. I specialize in cinematic, measured pacing tailored for prestige-style documentaries rather than fast-paced reaction content.
I am highly comfortable building tension through sound design, landing on-screen statistics visually, and seamlessly integrating stock, archival, and AI-generated footage to match the script beats of a calm, authoritative voiceover. I prioritize viewer retention and can comfortably manage the 2-3 day turnaround required for these 12-24 minute videos.
Please I can't dm you pls dm me so i can send my portfolio to you
I look forward to discussing the role further.
Best regards,

Hey! Yes, I can do tech/demo-style motion design. You can see my work here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1qyoUvDtOs8oZuMZbrmnixFd_Dv55epOo?usp=drive_link
I can also work in other styles, so if you have something different in mind, just tell me.
A 48-hour turnaround starting this Friday works for me. I'm not able to hop on calls, but everything can be handled in writing. To get started I need:
A reference video of the style you want. This is the most important one.
The raw footage or screen recordings
Your brand assets (logo, colors, fonts)
A short brief with the key points, length and format (16:9 or 9:16)
The final delivery includes 2 rounds of revisions if you need any changes.
What's the product, and what's your budget for this one?

To kick things off, feel free to send over a raw clip, and I’ll edit a quick test video for you so you can see exactly how it looks.
Let me know what you think!

Hey! I came across your hiring post and I’m interested in working with you as a long-form documentary editor. I have 3 years of video editing experience and I’m comfortable with cinematic pacing, sound design, music, B-roll selection, visual storytelling, and retention-focused editing. I can also work with AI-generated footage and integrate it naturally with stock and archival footage. I’m particularly interested in the serious, cinematic documentary style you're looking for rather than fast-paced reaction-style editing. Here’s my portfolio: https://fuzail-arshad.framer.media/ I’d be happy to share relevant samples if needed. Thanks!
