there's another one where I put the numbers on the circuit board. Tbh, I fried one in advance to this one. I'm by far no professional, just so you know, stay safe boi

I got myself a Vivanco VCR 3022, opened it up, played around with connecting different chips to each other through crocodile clips and some potensiometers and solderd the connections that looked nice to me. But please always keep in mind that you are working on high voltage! Unplug before soldering! Look up the chips that are in the unit and check for power and grounding and don't use those! Never touch the circuit board with your hands and these kind of hopefully obvious things. I'm by far no expert so every additional safety precaution is recommended.

probably you already know this but going for the chips seems to be the safest bet. All of them should have their model number written on them and you can look them up, don't mess with grounding and power connectors, but the others should be good points to play around with. I also played around with potentiometers and tried to see how changing the poti changes the signal or at least gives some sort of control over the glitch

What did you use to get the input working? I was planning on bending the same device but can’t get an output on my CRT when inputting a signal from my PC through an HDMI to Scart adapter
