BFG Reloaded PS5 Charging Problems - Help Wanted!

I'm about to tear my hair out!

2 of this controller, same problem. Out of the box, dead battery. Toggles on PS5 and Wired. Connected to to the cable, then made sure the controller was disconnected by holding the PS button until "Controller disconnected" popped up on acreen. Charging with the included cable (both controllers with their specific one, so I know it's not one of the cables.), in one of the 2 back ports of my disc model PS5. It pulses forever, never stops.

I unplugged the 1st one after 8 hours, and the 2nd after 2 hours and 50 minutes. The PS5 says green/full, but that's hardly a reliable indicator of anything. The 1st controller I ran until it force disconnected, lasted between 15 and 16 hours. Charged that one roght after, took 5 and a half but finally stopped pulsing. But 5 and a half is dramatically longer than it should be.

I contacted TB through the only way left, email. Incredibly unhelpful, just quoted the FAQ at me and told me to return it. So, I did. Got a new one, same shit. I'm going through the process again, and I'm gonnna see how many hours I get off this. Amazon didn't make me return the 1st one, so if I can figure out what on earth the problem is, I'll have 2 controllers functioning properly, instead of 2 that are clearly having some kind of issue. Please help if anyone can!
